grey skies and dark roads, gloomy expressions and rainy days.

it was all too normal.

the life of the people such as namjoon almost never get the experience to witness ... colour. the only chance they'll ever get is the train.

some may say the train is fairly overrated, a stupid social construct promoted by romanticized propaganda. namjoon was once advised that he should know better about the train, but he's too desperate to listen really. sometimes, it seems the train snatches some of your sanity away from you.

it can be like that sometimes.

other than the sound of faint chatter, silence radiated from the two as they munched on their food bopping their heads lightly to the music.

"i suffer wherever i go, gakkeum meolli doragado~"

"hm, i wonder what song this is. it's a bop." namjoon said, chopsticks clutched tightly in his fingers.

"bts' idol, a great group really." taehyung replies, his tone sounding rather proud at the mention.

"lemme guess, a fan?"

"HUGE one, i love them! they're so inspiring and they've brought me to see so many things i couldn't have before, but sadly they ride on the train and can only connect with fans online and my wifi sucks ass so i'm really sad and i don't even have merch which is even sadder and now that i think of it my life is just a series of me being sad- fuck." taehyung's words were being pushed together and rushed, namjoon staring at the man with his cheek smushed against his palm as he voiced his admiration for the said group.

".. sorry." he chuckled sheepishly.

"it was cute, so it's fine." namjoon smiled softly, his food contained away to be eaten for later. his attention was quickly averted to the sound of thunder, the window quickly being showered with raindrops.

"we should go." namjoon suggested, handing bills to the awaiting waiter as he previously called one over. opening the door for taehyung, the younger boy's lips were built into a pout.

"but i just got these new shoes yesterday, they're gonna get wet ..." taehyung said, sticking to the wall under the roof like glue.

"oh, calm down, the rain is not even that strong yet."

the rain grew stronger.

"well ... shit then." namjoon huffed.

"you can go on without me, namjoon. save yourself." taehyung stuck to the wall all too dramatically, acting as if an intense drama was taking place; and one of them has to make a sacrifice.

namjoon hummed in amused thought.
