4. M.I.A.

It's been about three days since I last spoke to Louis. It's also been three days since I saw Why Don't We at the local mall, and since I practically fell off the face of the earth.

I spent all that time stuck in my room watching tv shows and ignoring all the text and calls Louis sent me. My mother didn't seem to mind the behavior at all, as long as I sat down at dinner with her.

My mind completely had slipped and I didn't know what to think when I realized that my dad's birthday was the same day as the meet and greet. I almost decided to cancel on Louis and call it a night. But Louis kept sending me small goofy shorts of the boys that changed my mind.

I scrolled through my phone and once again my face paled. Jonah Marias posted on his Instagram story asking for 'Mystery Girl'. My heart pounded as I thought it might be me but I just knew that it wasn't. It couldn't have been, I mean I'm not that special.

I pondered over what to do. Should I continue ignoring all the texts from Louis as he talked about 'Mystery Girl' or should I answer and kill his curiosity once and for all. If it was me, I would've been dying to know, I can't leave him hanging.

So I called him.

Louis: Hannah! Why didn't you answer my calls!

I cringed as his voice broke out through the speaker and I could hear it as if it where on speaker phone even though it wasn't.

Me: I'm sorry I've been all M.I.A. I just really needed some alone time.
Louis: Like you don't get anymore of it.
Me: I'm sorry! I need to tell you something and it's about Mystery Girl.
Louis: Oh this better be real and good or else I'm going to kill you.
Me: I'm counting on it. Anyways, so after I hung up on you when I had gone to the mall. I was throwing my trash away and I bumped into someone and when I apologized and looked up I realized that it was Jonah... like Jonah Jonah, as in Jonah Marias and I was practically dying. So I looked behind him and all the boys were there too. I swear I'm not making this up.
Louis: Wait wait wait wait.... so you're telling me that you are Mystery Girl?
Me: Well I wouldn't say I a-
Louis: Because that exact same story you just told me has been going around on Jonah's Instagram story for the past three days.
Me: I know, I just realized it. I just logged into my phone actually. I basically threw myself off for a while because I didn't want to know about anything.
Louis: Well if you are Mystery Girl, then you should check his Twitter.
Me: Ok, but stay on the line.
Louis: Like I would ever hang up.

I rolled my eyes as I headed over to Twitter. I searched his name on the search bar and looked on his media. Louis' right, Jonah has been posting nonstop about this Mystery Girl and people even drew fan art of 'me' but you could only see my ponytail and facial silhouette.

Me: Oh my gosh! You're right! This is crazy!
Louis: Exactly what I thought... so what are you gonna do?
Me: I don't think I can go to the concert...
Louis: No, you can't d-

I quickly hung up the phone before he could answer. I couldn't breathe, my voice wouldn't come out and my vision blurred. I couldn't walk and all I could see in my mind was all the post and videos about Mystery Girl. It's too much to handle, too much that I can't deal with. The walls were closing in and I couldn't do anything. With the little strength that I had going on, I wiped my tears away and quickly looked up my dad's video.

"Hi honey! I love you! I want you to know that you will always be in my heart no matter how far away we are from each other. You are my heart and soul, you are the wheel that turns in my heart. Without you, I can't live. I love you, cookie!" My dad said as he rested his head on the hospital bed. His smile never faltered but his heart did. My hand wrapped around the ring chain on my neck, only to realize it was gone. But it couldn't be, I had it a few days ago. Oh no.

My phone pinged and I opened it to see a message from Louis with a picture of Jonah. He was wearing my ring necklace as a bracelet because it was too short for him. He was holding his hand up and the description read "Is this yours?"

Dancing Boy: Is that yours Hanna?
Me: That's mine...
Dancing Boy: Okay now you definitely need to go to the meet and greet. I'll drag you if I have to.
