Who was that?

A normal morning for camp cambell, well what they call normal. To them, normal is a child being taped to a ceiling fan and being spun around, and him beliving that he's in space.

Completely normal in camp cambell.

Almost normal.

Nikki sprung awake in the cot she's sharing with Max and Niel, since she is no longer allowed to sleep with the rest of the females. She kept bringing bugs and animals in the tents resulting in screaming and frightened girls.

So, David and Gwen decided it would be better to let her share a tent with her two bestfriends.

Not the best idea, but it was an idea.

She looked over at Niel whom she had woken up due to her loud awakening, but Max just stayed laying facing the opposite corner than them. She could tell he was awake, and wanted them to belive he's asleep. So there must be a reason for that, so she decided to let him be.

She and Niel silently stepped out of the tent, carefull not to disturb Max, they didn't want him to be in a worse mood than he usually is.

To duo walked into the canteen and was greeted by a unusual silence among the campers. They all were just having their own conversations. And not causing mayhem?

This couldn't be right.

Everyone looked over when Niel and Nikki walked in.

"What?" Niel nervously asked.

"Were's Max?" Space kid asked tilted his head a small bit inside of the helment he was wearing.

Nikki thought of a quick excuse.

"Oh! Um, he didn't sleep good last night, so he is sleeping in! Yeah!" She said rather quickly.

Nerris furrowed her brows. "No fair! The ugly goblin has to get up too!" She argued while insulting him.

"Hey!" Niel said back. "He's not a goblin!"

"Yeah!" Nikki said pumping her fist into the air.

"Well, im going to go wake him up!" Harrison said waving his hands, meaning he was probably going to use a magic trick.

Niel rolled his eyes. "Fine. Your funeral."

Harrison sped walked to Niel, Nikki, and Max's shared tent. He had his chest puffed out, showing he was confident.

The closer he got to the tent, the smell of smoke became stronger. He cocked and eyebrow and continued walking.

He eventually reached the tent, and the smell of smoke was intoxicating, compared to the normal outdoor air.

He peeked inside the tent, and saw Max, with a cigarette in hand and staring blankly at the wall of the tent. Harrison's eyes widened at the sight of this.

Max sighed before taking another breath of the cancerous smoke.

Max threw the cigarette butt on the ground and stomped it. He picked it back up and went to walk out of the tent and to be greeted by Harrison.

"Oh, h-hiya Max...." The magic boy said nervously while rubbing the back of his neck.

Max's eyes wided. He backed up and fell over a empty beaker that Niel had left on the ground.

Max's eye's weren't angry like they usually were. They were scared. And the scared Harrison.

"H-hey, Max are you okay?" Harrison asked putting a hand out for Max to grab to get back up off the ground.

Max flinched when his hand got near him, he put his hands up infront of his head and pulled his knees up to his chest.

His eyes wer pure fear. His teeth were clenched, he was obviously prepared to be hit.

"Max?" Harrison asked worriedly.

"Go away." He muttered still curled up.

"What?" Harrison replied.

"I SAID FUCKING GO AWAY!" Max said getting up. With his hand balled into fists.

The random behavior change startled Harrison. He got up, and began to run back towards the mess hall.

Max fell to the ground in a collapsed heap. He cursed at himself before pulling out another cigarette.

At the mess hall

Harrison came running into the mess hall. He was out of breath and pale.

Nerris came running up to him. "What happened?"

He shook his head. "It's Max..something's wrong." He said taking off his hat.

She furrowed her brows.

"What do you mean somthing's wrong."

He leaned in and wispered in her ear.

Her expression immediately changed.

"Oh.." She sighed with a solemn expression.

David walked in humming the Campbell song.

His eyes directed to all of the campers huddled up.

And....

Not creating mayem.
