A/N: Heyo! So, I haven't been feeling the best physically. Which means I'm falling behind on my updates. I have prewritten chapters but I'm falling behind on them. So I might not ve able to update on the 19th of November. Future apology T_T (Art Credit goes to enotrobin)
(Y/n)'s POV
You opened your eyes to see a bright landscape. An endless brick road aligned with red, orange, and yellow trees. The weak leaves fluttered to the cold street in front of you. Studying your surroundings, you so happen to look down to see you were wearing brown ankle boots with black leggings, a white shirt, with a dark green flannel. When you went to scratch your head, you felt a hat of some sort. You pulled it off to recognized it was a cream-colored beanie with a little fluff at the top.
You slip the beanie back on and continue to look around. The sky seemed outlandish. The colors purple, green, and pink danced and intertwined with each other while streaks of black soared across the wide plain known as the sky. The sun and moon were staring at each other through the swirl of colors.
Deciding that the sky was weird enough you looked back down at the surface to be greeted by Connor. "I'm so sorry for everything I've put you through. I didn't mean any of it! My programming was in the way of my true feelings!" He apologized with tears rolling down his cheeks. You smiled and went to take a step closer to him when someone grabbed your shoulder from behind.
"Model 313 248 371 51, serious malfunctions have been detected in your software, including Class 4 errors. You've been deemed defective. But instead of being sent to Cyberlife for deactivation, you are to be terminated." A similar voice declared. You turned around and found another Connor. His model number and title were the same. The clothing was the same. Even the little rebel strand of hair was the same.
"Connor?" You turned around to see your Connor on his knees with a bullet between his dull chocolate eyes.
"What is it, Detective?" He- No, that's not a he. That's an it. The machine pondered.
"You-You're not Connor!" You pivoted to face the android.
"I can assure you I am Connor. I was assigned that name and is programmed to never forget it." It explained in such an emotionless tone.
"No, you're not! You're a machine! A piece of plastic running on wires and metal parts!" You shouted as if it would get through to the android.
"I am aware of that, Detective. That's why I followed my directive to eliminate the deviant at large. I am nothing compared to that... failure." The android spat at the ground where Connor laid dead.
You started to inch away from the machine until you fully turned around and fully sprinted down the endless bricked road. The farther you got, the far the android stood put. When you span your head back around to focus on the pathway in front of you, you realized that you were laying in a hospital bed in a lone dark room with a luminous light beating down on your skin harshly. Your arms and legs were being held down by leather restraints.
"There is nothing else we can do for you. I'm sorry to tell you this rough news, (Y/n)." Dr. Kavin somberly claimed.
You looked around confused with tears in your eyes. On the other side of your bed, you saw Rhonda with broken biocomponents and limping towards you. "You let another person die because of your actions. How many more must die, (Y/n)?" She tormented you.
The space around the bed began to be filled by people either they failed you or you failed them. "We never got to meet. But you turned out to be absolutely gorgeous." The PJ500 complimented.
"I know I'm not your biological parent you want me to be but do know what I'm about to do is for you." Mariella sighed while she walked into the abyss. Another light shined onto Mariella's kneeling figure and the imposter Connor. It held a gun to her forehead. For a slight moment, it paused-looked your way to make sure you were looking, smiled, then faced Mariella while pulling the trigger.
