Ch.5

Stevens pov.

"Jade where are you" I yell looking around frantically.

There was no answer. So I went under water and felt around the bottom when I felt something soft and it was jades hair.

I then grabbed her arm and pulled her up and carried her bridal style back to shore fast.

I was scared what if she chocked on to much water and is already gone or if she hit her head on something.

She was incredibly light it was kinda scary.

I finally got to shore and laid her on the ground and aramis and her dog came running up to me.

I didn't know how to do CPR very well but I had to do it to my sister once when she almost drowned.

So I grabbed her face and attempted my best shot but It didn't work and so I tried it again and after a few seconds she started coughing.

"Jade are you okay?" I said with a worried tone.

"Um yea, I'm fine I think" jade says barley conscious and looking tired.

Here let's get you laid down out of the sun and as I was about to pick her up she quickly jumped up and said.

"No no it's ok I can do it" jade says

I could tell she didn't like it when people carried her which  made no sense bc she was super light.

She was leaning on Titus while she walked to an umbrella.

"What happened ?" Aramis asks

"some strong waves hit us and jade went under" I said

"Couldn't you swim to the top ?" Aramis asks.

"Oh um well about that i actually um don't know how to swim" jade says with an embarrassed look on her face.

"What then why did you come so far out with me, you could've said no" I say concerned.

"Sorry" jade says

" it's ok.. I just didn't want you getting hurt" I say to her and put my arms around her to warm her up. She lays her head on my bare chest.

And at the corner of my eye I could see her dog looking like he was ready to pounce if I made one wrong move.

"Hey do you guys wanna come over to my house my mom isn't home she has some job interviews to go to" jade asks.

"Yea I can" I say

"I can't I gotta go meet up at the skate park with the guys"  aramis says. And gets up.

"Alright man" I say

And aramis walks off.

I helped jade up and she grabbed her towel and reached into the sand and pulled out a skate board.

"Aye I didn't know you skated?" I say smiling

"Oh yea haha I love it" jade says smiling

"That's cool we should go skating sometime" I say

"Yea that would be fun, but I'll be bad compared to you" jade says

"Ha ha naw you'll do fine" I say

then we started walking back to jades place while she leaned on me for support.
