Ch.10

STEVEN'S POV.

I ran over to jade as fast as I could. I lifted up her an started saying her name.

"Jade can you hear me. if you can give me a sign l, raise a finger ! Anything" I was speaking fast and frantically saying her name.

She raised her pinkie slowly and I held unto it lightly.

Titus started barking loudly and stopped when he laid his heads next to Jades.

I pulled out my phone and called 911.

"911 how May I help you ?" A lady on the other line said.

"My girlfriend she needs help quick" I said freaking out

Jade was bleeding from her head.

"what happened to her ?" The lady said calmly.

"She was walking down the stairs with a glass cup and fell and it cutt her everywhere and she's bleeding from her head !"

"Ok sir. the ambulance is on their way and your address please ?" the women asked

I gave the her Jades address and cutt the lady off and started checking jades pulse. She was breathing lightly and blood started sleeping through her dark shirt.

I pulled her shirt up to her chest and slowly started removing the glass that I could. I grabbed a near by cloth and applied pressure to where she was bleeding from her head.

Titus put his nose on the cloth and applied pressure as well so I could remove the glass on her body. She had a deep cutt on her thigh and a gash next to her chest and small other cutts on her body but I was worried about her head.

Then I heard the ambulance and I ran to the door to open it. A couple guys ran in with a stretcher came in and took jade in it.

Titus was about to jump on one of the guys taking jade away so I jumped on him and tried to hold him down but he was strong. I had to use all my force and pulled him back from attacking them. Finally they left and I let go of him he ran to the door and started barking.

"Damnit why ! Why wasn't i there for her its all my fault I could've helped her I knew how Clumsy she was I could've helped" I shouted and was pulling on my hair. "what if she doesn't make it, it'll be all my fault !"....."GOD FUCKING DAMNIT !" I kicked the chair next to me and it went flying.

I started crying into my hands. Titus came over and laid next to me for the first time. I realized I had to get to the hospital. I grabbed my board and headed out the door.

"I'll be back to see you tomorrow" I said to Titus who looked like he desperately wanted to go.

I stopped by my house and picked up a Compton shirt and took off quick.

15 minutes later

I reached the hospital and walked to the front desk and asked for jade.. wait I didn't know her last name. Then a lady came rushing in frantically and asked for jade Roslyn. And started filling out paper when she was done. I went up to her.

"Excuse me, did your daughter fall down stairs and hurt her head ?" I asked the lady who looked pretty young and had some of the same features as Jade.

"Yes" she gave me a confused look.

"Excuse me but I'm Steven and I was with your daughter when the accident happened. I'm sorry I should've been there for her"

She looked at me desperately. And grabbed my hands and hugged me.

"Son, do you think she'll be alright ? Was it bad ? How did she fall ?" She looked at me with a desperate look waiting for me to answer.
