Ch.13

STEVEN'S POV

I woke up to Sandra (Jades mom) shaking me with a grin on her face. It was only 8:30 why was she up so early.

"Hey Steven wanna go get something to eat" She whispered.

Jade was still asleep looking peaceful and cute.

"Err yea thank you, but what about jade ?" I said

"She'll be fine, knowing her she won't wake up til 2 more hours and we can get her something as well" She said looking at her daughter with soft and sad eyes for some reason.

"Ok, sounds good" I said as I lazily got up from the couch and put on my basketball shorts, shirt and shoes.

We were walking out but before the door closed I checked on Jade one last time.

We were now in Sandra's car and buckling up when she asked.

"Where do you wanna go to eat ?" Sandra said sweetly pulling out of her parking spot.

"Mmmm wherever's fine really" I said not really craving anything in particular.

"Mm kay then, wanna go to Panda Express ? It's not really breakfast food buttt" Sandra said not really caring about the time of day but neither did, and plus panda did actually sound really good !

"Yea !" I said a little too excited.

Sandra smiled and started driving down the road.

"So, Steven how did you and Jade meet" Sandra asks with her eyes on the road.

"Um I think it was her first day here and she was walking around with Titus and she blurted out my name and one thing led to another and we became good friends." I said smiling remembering the first time I saw her and how cute and embarrassed she looked when she yelled out my name.

"Haha, well that's different, I like it" Sandra said smiling.

Sandra is probably the coolest mom I've ever met she's just so chill about everything and you can joke around with her. I wonder if I should ask if jade's aloud to date or something like that ?

We reached Panda Express making me leave my thoughts and exit the car. We walked in and luckily there was a short line and we ordered our food and I offered to pay but she she refused and we sat down at a table.

"Ok Steven I'm just gonna be real right now... I know there's something going one with you and Jade" Sandra said bluntly making me almost chock on my food.

"Ohh umm what do you mean ?" I said trying to look confused. I didn't want to lie to her but I didn't want her to forbid me from Jade either !?

"I see the way Jade looks at you and the way you look at her it reads more than just friends it's like a feeling much deeper" Sandra said sounding poetic.

"Ummm.. well I'm gonna be real with you too... me and jade are.. a couple, I'm sorry I didn't tell you but I didn't know how you would feel about it and neither did Jade" I said.

"I like you Steven, you seem like a good guy but I don't know you enough to say much more" She said looking me straight in the eye. "Guys suck and sorry to be so blunt but there assholes sometimes" Sandra said making me laugh a bit, but I don't understand how she doesn't have a boyfriend she was young and pretty and not that I checked her out or anything but she had a good body too.

"I understand ma'am and my whole image that I create when I'm being filmed about the type of guy I am with girls is just for the fame and look, but I would never ever cheat on jadeor doing anything to hurt her EVER ! And I would protect her with my life, I know I'm young and you would think I'm just an immature 14 year old but I feel like..like.. I love Jade." I said realizing that it was true.
