Prince Loki was definitely a hot button topic in their kingdom when it came to a lot of things.

One of his biggest supporters for him was his brother and mother.

His father...not so much.

Odin was always questionable when it came to the subject of his adopted son, so when it soon was time for the Prince's birthday his behavior was definitely off.

At least more than usual.

Odin was more polite and happy towards Loki, even with the fact that Loki had tried to take over a realm by himself.

Loki felt odd as the party grew later and Odin was still being cheerful, but Thor insisted that Odin really cared for Loki and that he may have started to realize that he might've been too harsh on his son.

"Lighten up brother," Thor patted his back, "This is your day to celebrate. Don't waste it on fretting over father."

"But doesn't it seem strange that he's acting like I'm...well, you? He's never talked to me like this before." Loki said.

"Maybe he's realizing that he's judged you too much." Thor shrugged.

Loki didn't entirely believe that, but he dropped the subject when it was time to enjoy the feast their servants provided.

Little did himself or the rest of his family know, Odin was secretly plotting something much sinister for this seemingly joyous event.

Wearing a gown was often considered out of Valkyrie's comfort zone, but Brunnhilde walked into the party with cool ease.

You see, being the professional hitman that she is, she was often in high demand for jobs because she is just -that- good.

Nowadays, she had quite the reputation for herself.

Such a reputation, in fact, that Odin (or whatever his name was, apparently he is of some importance) had hired her to 'take out' his youngest son at a fancy party that he was going to throw.

Supposedly, this boy was quite a puny 'thing' in appearance with greasy hair and some kind of almost unnatural-looking contour going on.

'This is gonna be easy.'

As the evening trailed into the early hours of the night, Brunnhilde finally spotted her soon-to-be victim.
He looked a lot different than what she imagined but a job is a job, hm?

Maybe the blood that was about to be spilled might put some colour on his pale complexion.

That signature smirk of hers began dancing on her lips as she strode over to Odin, knowing this was bound to get the Prince's utmost attention.

He was looking for something that would kill his boredom after all, little did he know that thing is aiming to kill him too.

Odin glanced over to see another guest come into the dining hall, one that he hadn't seen much of all night.

He smiled when he saw her, knowing exactly what she was here to do.

He made sure Frigga was close by his side so that he could catch her for when she faints,  and that Thor was somewhat under the influence so he couldn't go after the killer.
