Destiny

Chapter 6

We start to walk back towards my aunts. We didn't really talk much after he told me that in a little less than a year we will get powers and have to defeat the Dark One. I wonder if Sam knew all this. We get back to the house and he stops me before I walk in the door.

"Do you know why it was so hard for you to make friends?"

"Umm no? Why do you?"

"Yes. It was the same for me actually. My father took me out of Gold Beach the same time your mother took you. But when we left Gold Beach something happened. Something that would keep people away from us. Since I left and even when I came back I haven't been able to make friends. Not a single person my age has actually talked to me or hung out with me besides you."

"Oh wow. Okay well today has been a really weird day so I think I am just going to head to bed." I reply as I turn away from him. He pulled my hand and I spun back around.

"Could we hang out tomorrow?" he gave me this look. A look that even if I wanted to say no I wouldn't have been able too.

"Of course." I smile and he smiles back. Then he walks away and climbs into a black Corvette. Wow he has a nice car. I walk inside to see Sam in the living room watching TV. I walk in and ask if we could talk. She turns off the TV and turns towards me. "Xander told me everything. Did you know about all of this."

"Yes." Her face gets slightly red. "Did he tell you about the two of you?"

"Yes. That we are the chosen ones and we have to defeat the Dark Once."

"Oh." She says shaking her head.

"What is it"

"He didn't tell you everything." She slowly turns away from me.

"What didn't he tell me?"

"The two of you are supposed to be together. It has been your destiny since you were born. You will see as you get to know each other." Oh... why didn't he tell me that? Wait never mind, I just answered my own question. If you had just met someone would you want to tell them you were destined to be together?

"Oh. So that's why I am here? That's why my mother sent me back?"

"Yes. Now you should probably get some sleep. You two have stuff to do tomorrow."
