She wasn't quite sure as to where she was. All that she knew, was that she was chained up once more. She could feel the shackles pressing themselves into her skin.It was dark, as though she were still in the cave with the young man, damn, she never got his name. Luna blinked, trying to get her vision to clear. Still, there was nothing, only darkness. Deep down, she had a sinking feeling that she was back at the place where it had all began.
Her personal hell on earth, Hollow's Grove. That forsaken school, she scoffed. It wasn't a school at all. No one should have ever believed to be a institution of education in the first place. Just then, she heard something, it sounded like footsteps. They were heading down a tiled hallway, coming closer with every fall.
She snarled, so, she was back. Luna suddenly took a sharp breath in. There came a horrific realization upon her. The young man, was he back at the school as well? She hadn't told the guy, but she had been keeping tabs on him since he had wandered into the dense coniferous woods.
That was also were the tricky part came in, she had seen him shift. Yet, she hadn't brought it up when he had awoken. For some reason, Luna felt as though, the boy had another reason as too why he had shifted. It wasn't anything to do with Hollow's Grove, she was sure of it.
She had watched his body contort into the wolf, it looked so painful, agonizing, torturous. It didn't have right effect on his body to be an effect of that awful serum. The serum, she hadn't been able to explain it herself, but it somehow caused the person to link with an animal somewhere in the world.
How did this link occur? Well, Luna wasn't at all sure on how all of that happened. All she knew, was the conscious of the person was brought to the animal that they were matched with and somehow made them shift into the animal's form.
In her honest opinion, Luna thought that it was merely an illusion. They didn't actually shift, no one ever did. Instead, these maniacs were holding them, the students hostage and using them for experiments that included rewiring the brain. She had never turned into a lynx, Luna had just lost her mind.
She was just lucky that she had escaped, but now she was back. Trapped once more, she took a deep breath, trying to calm herself. She had a feeling that the young man, whoever he was, he was going to come and find her...
------------------------------------------------------I stumbled aimlessly around, hitting my body on every little boulder that I unknowingly passed by. How I wished that I had my cell phone, I regretted not picking it up before running for my life. It would have been a big help with finding the way out of here.
I was lost, there was no doubt about it. I had no idea of where I was, or where I was supposed to go. I was inwardly panicking, what if I fell into a crevice? I knew that I wouldn't stand a chance. That would be the last of me, then mum would have no one.
Just then, I felt my foot slip, I felt my heart skip a beat and down I slid. All I could hear was my own heart pounding roughly against my chest. I fell for who knows how long before I finally fell flat upon my chest. That was when I realized there was a faint light. I pushed myself upwards, my bones cracking as I struggled to get up.
Was this where the unidentified person and Luna had disappeared off to? I made my way towards the mysterious light, for some reason, the light didn't look real. To my eyes, it looked almost artificial. Suddenly, there came a loud bang. I threw myself down onto the cave floor.
The cool rock was a welcoming sensation upon my overheating body. The bang had sounded close, extremely close. I wondered if it was another animal, a glimmer of hope was sitting in the far back of my mind. I hoped that it was the person who had taken Luna. Yet, I knew that it was highly unlikley that it was the person.
