'A'nniversary

Alison's POV

Today with Em celebrate one year since we got married. Shannon is now a year and 3 months. She is our pride. I planned a special dinner for Emily. And travel ... To Bora-Bora (I know that Em has always wanted to go there).

"Good morning, beautiful." I whispered in Emily's ear and kissed her back.

She groaned and face me then a big smile came across her face.

"Happy anniversary baby!" she said proudly and happy then kissed me passionately.

"Oh, it's toady, right? I totally forgot it! Sorry.." I said faking.

She stared at me and I saw tears in her eyes.

"You know I'm kidding, right ? That's the biggest day in my life! I can't forget it. Today we adopted Shannon and today I begin your wife. You're my all babe. I love you. With all my heart." I said and hugged her tight.

She look at me sad and kissed me gently.

"It wasn't funny...."

I rolled her to be on top and kissed her neck then started bit it. But little hands locked around my arm.

"Mom...Come with me." one baby voice said and kissed my cheek.

I jump out of Emily and hugged Shannon.

"Good morning, princess."

"Mommy. Come." She said loudly and take me to her room.

I think Shannon is really smart girl. She speak and act just like adult and that make me feel...proud of her.

When I came in her room she give me one letter.

"What's that Baby?" I asked her smiling.

I open the letter.

Did baby Shannon know that she has other mother and father? Tell her or I will.-A

When I read it I was white as flag.

"Babe. What's wrong?" Em came and hugged me by the waist.

I give the letter to her and she read it.

"Where was that Shannon?" Em asked worried.

Shannon point her bed and we both shivered.

"I think all 'A' game stopped before 3 years..." I said and tears came out of my eyes.

"Me too babe...."

Emily and I always talked openly with Shannon about that she is adopted. But I don't think she still understands what that means. It's difficult to tell to your daughter "somewhere you have other parents who left you before year and 3 months." Shannon knows that we love her. But I'm sure that she's wondering why others have fathers and she just two mothers. I'm not sure that we are ready to talk with her about that. But we have to.
