Dedicated to AinzueSyo

It was nearly 1am when you heard a string of knocks on your door. You huffed in annoyance, sleep had finally come to you only a few minutes before.

"Coming!" You shouted, yanking your blankets off and starting for the door.
"What do you want- oh Syo." Your annoyance disappeared when you saw your best friend clutching his pillow protectively. His face was partially hidden by the cloth of the pillow, his hair sticking out in all directions. You smiled, he looked cute.
"What's up? More nightmares?" He nodded slightly as you opened your door wider. "Come in, why don't we talk about it?"

"Yeah, okay." He sniffed, burying his face in the pillow as he steps inside. His face was streaked with tears, his eyes puffy and red. You quickly shut your door and plopped back onto your bed. You patted the spot on the bed next to you and waited for Syo to come sit next to you. You huffed when he shook his head.

"If you don't come sit down, I'm going to pick you up and then you'll have to lie down instead." You saw his eyes widen slightly before he slowly shuffled forward. "Tell me about your dream. How did it start?" He averted his eyes, the floor was apparently very interesting.

"W-well you and I were out shopping like we do every weekend." He stopped and sniffed quietly. "And everything was fine at first, I got you some stuff from your favorite store and then we went to a coffee shop." You nodded thoughtfully.

"What happened next?" you asked. Syo shook his head and buried his face in the pillow. You smiled gently and pulled him into a hug. "You know you can tell me anything. Tell me what happened next," you said gently. He shook his head again. Syo curled up into a ball on your bed, the pillow still held tightly in his arms.

You sighed and stood up. "I'm going to put some tea on, do you want some?" Syo nodded, you could just barely see tears on the fabric. "What kind? I have green, herbal, black, and spice tea."

"Green," he said, his voice muffled by the pillow. You ruffled his hair as you left, and heard his muffled sobs from the other room. Your heart broke hearing and seeing your best friend in such a state. When you brought tea back in for the both of you, Syo was lying down on your bed facing away from you.

"Syo, the tea is down."

"Ok. Thank you," he croaked, crying had made him sound awful. He didn't move, he just laid there.

"Are you going to drink your tea or just keep staring at the wall?" He shrugged.

"I don't want you to see me like this." The words stung a little, you thought he'd be more comfortable with his best friend. You'd know each other for years, you thought he trusted you more than that.

"Then I'll turn around or go back into the kitchen," you said. Maybe you sounded pissed or maybe you sounded as hurt as you were because Syo turned to face you almost immediately after.

"I didn't mean it like that." His voice cracked and wavered as he spoke. You felt a little bad for snapping at him. You looked at his tear streaked face and sighed again. Panic was written in his eyes, tears still clung to his eyelashes. He was a mess. But then again, so were you. It was almost 2am and you had pulled all-nighters the last two days. You sighed again and ran a hand through your hair. Syo looked at you, concern still written on his face.

"Drink your tea. We both need some sleep," you said, handing him the mug.

"But doesn't this have caffeine?"
