"Kimberly are you okay!" Mia says as she runs into the bathroom automatically helping me clean myself.
"Yeah, I'm fine", I say taking a chunk of food off my shirt.
"That asshole. When I find him I'm going to—"
"It's okay", I shake my head.
"What? For a minute there it almost sounding like you said it was okay."
"That's because I did."
"Did you hit your head or something?"
"I'm just so tired of entertaining his crap."
"Well I'm not. No, this is not okay. I'm going to talk to him."
"Mia", I grab her arm. "It's okay, really. He's not worth our time."
"Somebody once told me that you shouldn't be okay for what somebody's done to you."
I smile. "Whoever told you that must have been one smart person."
We both laugh.
"So what are you going to do now?"
"Nothing", I simply state. "I told you. I'm tired of entertaining his games. I'm done."
Mia finishes helping me wash off the food residue and walks me to my locker.
I put all the things I didn't need for my next class and sigh as I fix my hair.
"I hate that I'm going to smell like food."
"Oh, I have an extra shirt in my locker if you want it."
"Yes, please. Thanks."
"I'll be right back."
Ten minute past by and Mia was still no where to be seen. I look at my phone. We had three minutes till lunch was over. What was she doing? Her locker wasn't that far from mine.
Just as I pull out my phone to text her, I see a longed hair brunette walk down the halls, with a shirt in her hand.
"What took you so long?"
"Oh you know. I was kicking some ass. The usual."
I chuckle and smile.
"Here." She hands my the shirt which I gladly take and head to the bathroom to quickly change. Luckily it wasn't too bad on my jeans but my shirt was completely destroyed in food.
I finish changing and shove my dirty shirt in my bag.
"Alright lets go.
We walk into the class and already Chloe and her possy were seated on top of the desks, chatting amongst themselves.
"Something smells like leftover trash", Chloe snickers.
"Close your legs then", I flash a smile as I enter the class and take a seat.
I could have the toughest day ever but I will never let Chloe Bryant get the best of me. There was no way I was going to let that girl walk all over me like I was some door mat.
The next day was better. It was another successful day of ignoring Noah. But for some reason, he couldn't reciprocate.
"Why is he looking over here?" I groan as I shove a carrot in mouth.
"I don't know", Mia mumbled hiding her face.
"Gosh I just wish he would leave us alone."
"I don't know he's kind of cute", she smiles looking down at her food.
