3. The 7 Duel Commandments

Game nights were a tradition in Kansas. No matter what happened, you could always count on game night being there. When everything you think you know must be forgotton, game nights really helped you keep your sanity.

And with keeping sanity in mind, there were always a few rules.

1. No magic.

It doesn't matter how much you think your, or somebody else's, talents will improve the game, magic is not allowed. Elli being the only exception, of course.

2. No Pepsi

Of course, this rule was a bit silly since there isn't really much Pepsi to go around in an apocalyptic world anyways, but in the case that there was, Pepsi was not allowed at game night.

3. No sword battles with Jessie's crutch.

Originally it was thought that this would be obvious, but apparently not.  The Ben and Oli incident still is very fresh in everyone's minds.

3. No singing "Let the Bodies Hit the Floor."

The Oli incident is still fresh in everyone's minds.

4. No humming (or shouting either. It's pretty obvious Ethan, just don't do it at all.) the Super Mario Bros Theme.

The 'literally everyone headsmashing into each other at the same time due to somebody's brilliant suggestion' incident isn't as fresh in everyone's mind, considering as the concussions left them in confusion. Still, they remember, and Kelby demanded that a new rule be made.

5. Ben and Oli are not allowed to sit by each other.

Ben is stupid. Oli was stupid. Put together, they were a force to be reckoned with. Everyone agreed  they'd rather deal with the noise that came from Ben and Ethan, than the destruction from Ben and Oli.

This rule didn't matter much anymore anyways.

6. All games must be played upstairs.

This rule wasn't so much for sanity as it was for safety. In a situation such as their own, you never know what's going to happen, no matter how many precautions you take. Break ins were always a rare, but still exsitent, concern. Sure, they had magic and weapons and such to defend themselves, but nobody wanted to be caught when they were most vulnerable, besides when they were sleeping, of course. Playing upstairs was so much safer.

7. No truth or dare

"Let's play truth or dare!"

"Howabout we play 'bish slap Kelby for suggesting a forbidden game.'"

Que the arguments breaking out over what to play, whether Kelby should be slapped or not, pineapple on pizza: yes or no?

"We don't even have pizza or pineapple anymore! What us the point of this argument?"

Caos is everywhere, leaving Elliann to stare at her friends in wonder. It was moments like these that she didn't feel to bad being stuck as a dog. The human life was way more dramatic and stressful then getting to sleep and chew on Ethans shoes whenever she wanted to.

Personally, she didn't care what was on her pizza, as long as there were some beccin bites.

The arguments continue, having altered more from arguments to very agressive, passionate conversations.

"Fergalicious is a gift from God!"

"Have you even heard the song? I'm pretty sure those lyrics are not God approved."

"Oh please, I DON'T WANT NONE UNLESS YOU GOT BUNS HUN."

"That's not even Fergalicious..."

It has only been two weeks since Oli' s passing. When one person died, the rest came back to haunt you. Not only is everyone still mourning everyone's favorite not-lesbian dying, but they are remembering everyone else. Their siblings, their friends, the lost parents they could only pray were still alive. All that mourning put a lot of stress and tension on the group, so most felt that their silly arguments were justified.

In the end, a quick round of Chutes and Ladders is played before it's  decided that the 'see who can be quiet and go to sleep the fastest' game would be a nice conclusion to their get-together. Of course, just before that game can begin,

"BISH SLAP!"

"Owchie."

Typically, Hannah dominated at the sleeping game. As long as nobody tried talking to her, she was always the champion. Tonight however, was different. She went to bed at the same time as everyone else, she didn't talk too anyone, she didn't allow anyone in her room, even Elliann, who sometimes liked to sleep on Hannah's bed. But Hannah does not sleep.

Hannah sits silently in her bed, listening for any noises. Once she's certain that everyone in Kansas is asleep, she slowly climbs out of bed, trying to avoid the loud creaking of her bed frame. Feet padding gently across the room, she makes her way to the dresser and bends down to the lowest drawer. Muttering gentle words and focusing on the energy in her hand, she brings the tips of her fingers to a steady glow. With the new source of light, she's able to properly look through the drawer.

Moving clothes and various other small items out of the way,  she retrieves a thick book. Settling back I  her bed, she pulls the book close, opening it to a specific page in the center. Kelby would be so mad if she knew she had this.
