7. Accidents Happen All The Time

Ethan wakes up and is sprinting through the building the minute he hears Hannah scream. Within seconds, he slams her door open and rushed to her side, grabbing her hands desperately.

"Hannah. Hannah. Hannah! What happened, are you okay? What's going on?" His heart beats rapidly against his chest. "Hannah, I need to you tell me what's wrong!"

Hannah's body is hunched foreward, her head bobs between her knees as she limply holds Ethans hands. A loud, wet sob escapes her.

"Hannah...?" Ethan gently squeezes her hands. He doesn't understand what's got her so upset, but he needs to support her. He hears hurried foot steps in the hall, and turns to face the door as the rest of the group enters the room.
"Guys, I don't know what's wrong. I heard Hannah scream and-" He stops as Aravis let's out a gut wrenching shriek. Hannah's hands flinch and tremble as she continues to cry as Ethan turns his head to see what has everyone else's attention.

Elliann morphs from her canine form to her original, human one. The shock of the situation on the floor keeps anyone from noticing that this is out of the normal. Elliann had been stuck as a dog for years, unable to transform, and here she is, tail and fur gone. No one seems to care. She doesn't either.

Elliann collapses next to her sister, a burning pain seething through her. Her eyes burn and her throat tightens. She gingerly touches her hand to her sister.

"Kelby?"

Kelby shows no signs of response. Her eyes stare, lifeless, towards the sky. "Kelby?" Ellianns voice is soft and desperate. Aravis cries in the door way. Elissa stares in silent horror. Jessica feels dizzy. Ben doesn't know what to do with himself. Ethans grip on Hannah's hands slacken. Hannah sobs.

"I'm so sorry. I swear, I didn't mean to."
