Hannah feels like she's on an adventure. A magical quest. A secret mission.

She supposes that all is true, but when she used to dream of exciting experiences like these, she imagined herself as a brave heroine. Now that everything is real, she feels nothing short of a peice of crap. More of a villain than the hero. Crap. Crap. Crap.

Groaning, she drafts her hand down her face, her fingertips tugging on her wet eyelids. She doesn't deserve to cry, not after all she's done.

"Hannah, stop it."

"Why?"

"You know that I don't blame you for anything. You shouldn't either."

"..."

"Hannah, I hate to see you tear yourself apart like this. You're a hero Hannah."

"Sure doesn't feel like it."

"I swear, you are Hannah. Just wait for it, this will all be worth it, I swear. You're my hero!"

"And look where that got you! You're just a silly voice in my head! You're not even here!"

"But because of you, we can ensure that others can be here. You're saving the future."

"But at what cost?! What's the point...?"

No voices respond to her. It's quiet.

Hannah allows herself to sob out into the empty room. Curling up to herself, she threads her fingers through her hair, gripping tightly against her scalp.

"What am I supposed to do? How am I supposed to do this?"

She already knows the answer. No point in asking. A warmness against her chest confirms her knowledge.
Aggressively wiping her eyes, Hannah gets up off the floor. Time to get down to business.

"Where'd I hide that book this time?"
