Lily's POV

I can sense that Yellow Diamond is very suspicious of me. I smiled gently at her, still not feeling happy about earlier. my smile dropped as I remembered bitter memories and my eyes are watering again. I snapped back in reality as Yellow Diamond cleared her throat, clearly impatient and coaxing me to answer her question.

"I saw some of your gems, my diamond. I saw them using their device. I saw you in the screen and curious human being that I am, I observed them, my diamond. I know that I should've minded my own business, but it looks really interesting. I sincerely apologize for my mistake, my diamond."

I bowed down to her as I apologized. I am so nervous on how she will react. maybe she would zap me with her power as a punishment as I obviously did the wrong thing. She might think that I was spying and giving out information to their enemy or something. I straightened up and looked at Yellow Diamond. She seems like she was thinking hard on what to do to me. Maybe getting zapped out of existence isn't bad, or maybe it's just my wishful thinking.

Yellow Diamond's POV

I can see that she was telling the truth. I don't feel really mad at her for doing something that might anger me normally. It's weird for me to act like this. To not feel mad at someone for doing something wrong that might harm homeworld and the other gems that lived there.

"Hmmm... Alright human. But do not, I repeat DO NOT tell others about them, about what you saw. It might cause chaos. Well, I don't really care about your kind. Just so you know."

I saw her nod in recognition. My chest feels weird with this human. My heart is beating hard. It's a wonder she doesn't hear. She's so small, and she's also fragile. Humans to me are pathetic. But this human is unique somehow. Humans don't really serve any purpose and they also die so fast, compared to the gems that doesn't die in natural circumstances. They die only when they were shattered. Like Pink Diamond...

Lily's POV

I sighed in relief as Yellow Diamond didn't punish me for what I did. I saw her clenched her fist. she's really in pain. I wonder what happened.

"Thank you, my diamond." I bowed again to her in gratitude. I was surprised when I saw her shrunk down. She has the same height as we humans are. She's really tall, even though she shrunk down to our size. comparing her height to mine, I was just really at her shoulders.

We stood in awkward silence as we didn't know what to do. I cleared my throat, just to get the courage to ask her to sit with me.

"My diamond, please call me Lily. That's my name. Ummm... would you like to sit next to me? If you're not busy of course, my diamond." My voice cracked as I quickly thought of a way out for her if she doesn't want to. My heart was beating fast and I don't know what I feel. I am kind of attracted to her. I couldn't avert my eyes as I stared at her beautiful face. I selfishly captured this moment as we stood face to face with each other. This might be the last time that I see her.

Yellow Diamond cleared her throat again as I stared at her for too long without saying anything to her. My face burned as I blushed as my mind registered what had happened. Yellow Diamond clearly said something to me as she seems amused at my state of my mind wondering elsewhere.

" As I said Lily, lead the way" I gaped at her clearly gobsmacked because I didn't expect her to agree to sit next to me. She smirked as I closed my stupid mouth from hanging open. I blushed and I walked ahead, leading her to the most beautiful spot in this world.
