Yellow Diamond sat in silence as she pondered on what to do. Lily has been staring at Yellow that was deep in thought. Yellow didn't notice the footsteps that is going in their direction, but Lily had. 

Lily turned her head around and stood on her feet to greet the other diamond who's looking worriedly in Yellow's direction.

Lily's POV 

I was staring at Yellow that was deep in thought. I was confused as my heart was beating so fast when Yellow draped her arm around my shoulder and the warmth that I felt when she looked at me like that. I suddenly heard some footsteps behind us and as I turned my head around, I saw a worried looking Blue Diamond. I stood up, alerting Yellow that something was happening. I bowed down and greeted Blue Diamond, similar to what I had done to Yellow earlier. 

"Greetings, my diamond" Blue Diamond was staring at me and then turning to Yellow diamond, without saying anything to me. "Yellow, I've been looking all over for you. Are you alright?" I frowned and stood straight, clearly not going to get any recognition from Blue effing Diamond.

Yellow's POV

I felt rather than see Lily standing up and bowing to someone . I stood up as well to see who was behind us. I was surprised to see Blue here on Earth as I knew that she was busy with her own work. "Greetings, my diamond" I heard Lily say as Blue turned her attention to her and back at me without her giving any reaction to Lily. I frowned as Lily straightened her back, knowing she was upset to be ignored(Why in the hell do I care what she feels?!).

"Yellow, I've been looking all over for you. Are you alright?" Blue asked me. I frowned at her, upset to have my time alone with Lily being interrupted. "Of course I'm fine. Why wouldn't I be?!" I growled at her. "I..." Blue started, but I interrupted her fast. With a sigh, I said to her to go back to homeworld and that I will go when I am ready. She frowned but turned back around to return home. 

Lily's POV

I stood silently as I was scared to interrupt their conversation. When Blue turned back around, I glanced at Yellow to see her staring at me. 

"Are you alright, my diamond?" I asked her softly as to not anger her more than she already was. She breathed deeply and letting it out softly.

"Yes, I'm fine." Yellow sat back down to where we sat earlier. I did the same and sat back down.

Yellow's POV

Lily sat back down after I did. I am deciding whether to tell her or not. After a few minutes of silence and a few minutes of the war going in my head, I decided to tell her. I don't want to lose my soulmate.

I turned to Lily, seeing her deep in her thought. "Lily" I said, snapping her from her thoughts. "Yes, my diamond?" She looked at me and giving her full attention to me. "This is very important and you have to listen carefully. Now whatever I say to you, DO NOT walk away. Understood?"

I gave her a stern look and is starting to see the nervousness in Lily's face. Lily nodded and I held her hands in mine to keep her rooted to where she's sitting. 

"Lily, you clearly saw that I healed you earlier right?" Lily nodded her head in confirmation. "Have you felt some spark of electricity when I touched you and feeling calm in my presence?" Again, Lily nodded her head. I took a deep breath to calm the nerves that I'm feeling. 

"There is an explanation to this. The Diamonds are powerful, but there are abilities that we couldn't do, such as healing. " Lily widened her eyes at what I said. I remained calm as I'm explaining it all to her. 

"The first time I touched you, I didn't expect to heal your wounds and scars. I was so confused when it happened earlier. I felt that there was something going on as I felt calm and comfortable when I'm with you. I didn't expect my heart to skip a beat and beat fast for the first time. I was deep in thought to remember some important information That I might've forgotten. It was so long ago that White Diamond said this to me and listen carefully,

 If you feel something weird like something is beating at your chest, if you feel comfortable and safe with someone, If you really care about them, it means that you love them. But the most important thing to remember is that it is not common for gems, even for us diamonds to heal others. if you do heal someone, that someone will be your soulmate.

 You should keep your soulmate close to you after you know this fact and tell them within a week, because if you don't you will lose your soulmate forever. I f you realized and you didn't do anything about it, your soulmate would eventually suffer and die from it. You will feel emptiness that you haven't experienced before and you will regret not ever doing anything about it."

I watched as different emotions started to pass at Lily's face. She sat silently, thinking with a frown on her face. I gently cupped her face in my head and I ran both of my thumbs back and forth, to give her a silent comfort. 

Lily's POV

I sat dumbfounded at what I heard from Yellow. Soulmates... she said. I felt Yellow cup my face in both of her hands and raised my face, her thumbs gently moving ever so slowly to give me comfort. 

I smiled gently at her, knowing that I will get to love and accept Yellow for who she is, easily. I placed my hand at the top of Yellow's hand in my face. Then I moved and embraced her tightly, placing my head on Yellow's shoulder. She felt surprisingly warm and I felt Yellow embrace me just as tightly as I was embracing her.

Lily: Happy New Year Too!!!

Yellow: ...

Author and Lily: ...

Author: OH NO!!! 

Yellow and Lily: *startled*

Yellow: What is it you dolt?!

Author: I...  *mumbles while lowering my head and looking at the floor*

Yellow: WHAT???!!!

Author: I saidddd that I am doomed because I haven't read the book I selected for my book review in class and it will be starting at the first week when we go back to school... *cries and stands at the corner while facing the wall*

Yellow: *smirks evilly*

Lily: *hugs author and hugs her while running her fingers in author's hair* awww don't cry... just read it in the morning.

Author: ... okay *hugs back*

Yellow:  *glares daggers to author*

Author: *raises a brow, still hugging Lily * Are you jealous Yellow?

Yellow: NO!

Author: *snorts* Ha! could've fooled me. This is making my mood lighten up a bit *giggles*

Yellow: *Aura is getting darker, surrounding her form while still glaring at author*

Author: *gulps* Alright, alright. You can have your Lily back. *pushes Lily gently to Yellow*

Yellow: *Hugs Lily Possessively*
