Lily's POV 

I winced as I know that I wouldn't like the punishments that Yellow Diamond will give me if I disobeyed her. I weighed all the pros and cons about it and after a few moments, I sighed, preparing myself to tell her.

"My diamond, you probably wouldn't know about this stuff, what humans really do, how they feel and more.  Families should be welcoming, loving, and caring. We are ambitious and we imagine a lot of it to go perfectly, but it doesn't work like that. Other people are happy with their lives, on how they run it. But others also have an unpleasant life, and I belong to the latter. My parents were abusive. They... they abused me, physically and mentally. The scars that you healed were made by them. I couldn't take it anymore, so I ran away. By then, that's where you found me." I can't hold my tears back. I just let it flow, I didn't care if Yellow was there to witness my weakest moment. 

I was breathing heavily as I finished my tale. Yellow Diamond was silent the whole time. I wouldn't notice if she's there or not. But the heat radiating from my side told me otherwise. 

I looked at my side to see Yellow Diamond staring at me. This made me flustered and I looked down at the ground. I heard her sigh as I felt a heavy arm that was draped on my shoulder. Shocked, I looked at her and she raised a brow at me. Huh, I didn't know they are capable of doing that. 

Yellow Diamond's POV 

I did not know what to say. I sighed as I draped my arm around her shoulder, doing what I did as what humans know as 'comfort' to them. I was staring at her and I know this, but it was very strange to be in this situation. She looked at me with her beautiful eyes and she smiled lightly at me, then laid her head gently in my shoulders. 

My eyes widened in shock as I felt something stir in my chest. Something was... beating inside me. What is happening to me?!I searched for my memories, thinking deeply. Finding for a clue or a hint to what I am feeling right now. 

There! my breath hitched as I remembered a discussion I've had with the other diamonds. 

'If you feel something weird like something is beating at your chest, if you feel comfortable and safe with someone, If you really care about them, it means that you love them. But the most important thing to remember is that it is not common for gems, even for us diamonds to heal others. if you do heal someone, that someone will be your soulmate. You should keep your soulmate close to you after you know this fact and tell them within a week, because if you don't you will lose your soulmate forever. I f you realized and you didn't do anything about it, your soulmate would eventually suffer and die from it. You will feel emptiness that you haven't experienced before and you will regret not ever doing anything about it.'

Oh no! what would happen next?!!! even I don't know how to continue this. I feel so sorry for making Yellow D. so confused and for giving Lily a hard time. 

Yellow: Tsk... you better make up for it human or I'll shatter you!!!

Author: ahhh!!! nooo please have pity on my miserable and depressed soul :'( 

Yellow: Promise it then -_-

Author: I will-

Yellow: Good

Author: Let me finish sheesh -_- I will NOT promise you such a thing... Let's just see where this will go.

Yellow: ... *gives murderous glare to author*

Author: ...*gulps*

Lily: What is happening?...

Yellow and Author: Nothing...
