Why Worry

Why worry, in beating a battle you've already won.

Keep your Head up, faith intact, now sing your victorious Song.

The battle is defeated and the war soon to be done.

The storm is vicious, and yes, filled with infliction.

This I know.

But I did not leave you naked of weapons, nor helpless in this world.

Take up my word, the sword of truth and fight with the shield of faith,

For I fearfully, wonderfully made you to prevail,

And to defeat the snares of the wicked snake.

If they reject you they reject me.

If they’re against you they're against me,

But in me, you will find strength.

And in you, I will find my glory.

Your tears do not go in vain,

For each of them I catch in the palm of my hand.

My blood did not go in vain,

For every drop was poured to save you from eternal imprisonment.

Look at me…Look at…me while I wipe your watery eyes.

I am not just God, but a perfect Father who keeps you alive.

Look at me…look at me while I wipe those tears from your eyes.

You are not just my creation but my child, a warrior in disguise.

So why worry, in beating a battle you've already won,

For no weapon formed against you shall prosper, so sing your victorious Song.

In the battle?

I've given you the defeat.

In the war?

Well, that my child, I've already ceased.
