"Speak."

"Dice, where the fuck are you?"

I rolled my eyes. Not only am I about to cuss this girl out for waking me up out of my sleep, but I'm damn sure about to cuss her out about calling my phone talking to me crazy.

"Mariah, who the fuck are you talkin' to?"

"N-nobody daddy, I just miss you. Come over today, I can bust it open like you like it."

"Na, I got somethin' to do."

"Well I'll come over there-"

"I said no, damn!"

I rubbed my neck in frustration and tossed my phone down on the  bed. A man has his needs, but these females get too involved in their feelings. I tell them off rip what it is. I'm not looking for a relationship, I'm just tryna bust them draws. Everything be good at first then they get too clingy and do shit like Mariah just did. I need to stop playing with these girls to be honest.

I got out my bed and made my way downstairs to find something to eat. I stopped in my tracks when I saw Zion silently sleeping on my couch. I had completely forgotten she was here.

The fellas said I should've killed her yesterday for what she saw. In the back of my mind, I want to just to be safe. But I at least want to talk to her and see where her mind is at about it. For some reason I don't think she would rat me out. Hell, she probably don't want nothing to do with me. She looked scared as fuck when she ran out of that house and a part of me was scared to. Scared that I might lose her and I haven't even gotten her yet. But when she called me crying, I drove as fast as I could to her.

I went towards her and sat down on the ottoman in front of her. I didn't wanna wake her but I needed to get to the bottom of things. I softly shook her shoulder.

"Zion? Wake up."

She shuffled, stretched, then opened her eyes.

"Good morning sleepy head."

She stared at me and I watched her eyes trail down my body, and I remembered my attire. All I had on was some basketball shorts. I laughed.

"It's not nice to stare."

Her eyes met mine again and she abruptly got up and went towards the door.

"I should be going."

"Zion, hol' up."

I ran to the door and blocked her path to get out.

"We've been through this already Dyshawn."

"How the hell you gonna call me cryin', I come get you and you stay the night, then wake up without saying so much of a thank you?"

"Thank you, now can you move?"

For some odd reason, all I wanted to do right then was kiss her. So I did. I grabbed her by her chin gently and aggressively yet softly placed my lips on hers. She panicked at first, but eventually started kissing me back. I released her lips as well as her chin and we looked at each other breathlessly.

"Now can you please let me explain?"

She nodded and let me lead her back to the couch. We sat down and I took a deep breath.

"I don't know where to begin. I guess I'll start by saying sorry, I shouldn't have brought you there."

"You killed that guy. Why?"

"He was working for me, but word got around that he was rattin' me out to the feds."

"So.... what exactly do you do?"
