Chapter. 27

Olivia's POV

Everyone sighed in relief as we heard the good news. Hayes was going to be perfectly okay... I hugged Johnson tightly and smiled at Tia.

"Thank god..."
was all I managed to say, Hayes's doctor came over to us and smiled.

"I'm looking for Nash? Nash Grier?"
Nash stood up quickly and smiled.
"Can I see him?"
the doctor nodded her head.

"This way, i'll take you to his room, but only immediate family is allowed to visit at the moment, i'm so sorry"
we nodded our heads and smiled at Nash.

"Text us later, let us know how he's doing?"
Nash smiled.
"Of course! Tia, i'll call you later"
she nodded and we headed out.

Johnson and I hugged everyone and headed back to our house. Tia said she'd come back over later, I knew she wanted to be alone right now.

"I'm so happy they're both okay..."
I said breaking the silence in the car, Johnson looked over, and just nodded.

"Babe... you have to be ready to tell me what's going on with Jai and the Grier's, i'm not dumb, I also know you very well, you don't hide your distress well"

Johnson sighed in defeat.
"can we talk at the house? i'll explain all that I know, I promise"
I nodded and we rode in silence from there.

Time skip

When we got back to the house I went right to the couch, pulling Johnson with me.
"Time for answers"

I said, placing my hand on his, he sighed once more.
"i'm telling you only what I know. everything else is for Hayes and Nash to explain"

I nodded and listened carefully.

Flashback

Hayes and Nash had just moved to L.A. Jai was one of their roommates.
"Hayes, you know i'm still sending you to school right?"

Nash said laughing. Hayes sighed putting his bags down in his new room.
"Dude it's only two more years and then we can party!"

Jai said high-fiving him. Nash shook his head.
"Jai, there is no way in hell you are turning my little bro into dropout like you"

"In my defense, it worked out pretty well, I mean look at me! i've got a hot girlfriend, my best friend lives in a sick apartment in L.A. and I look beach ready!"

Hayes sarcastically laughed.
"Well if doing all that is gonna make me like you!... then i'll pass"

Nash laughed at Jai who just blew it off.
"Whatever, you guys gotta live with me, so i'll grow on you eventually"

Flashback over

"Jai and Nash were best friends, Hayes looked up to Jai back then, you were a junior in high school just like Hayes, but there were a few warning signs we ignored about Jai"

"like what?"
I asked, getting more intrigued with his story.
