Chapter 3

Curse of the Demon

Part 2: Devil's Touch

Have you ever thought that you are one of the seven billion Assholes walking over this earth? That if you die, most of the people close to you would rather forget you than trying to remember you just because you haven't done anything great? The fear of oblivion was eating me. I hated myself for being so common. I was so one of them, those sufferers, those who had lost their directions halfway, how could they be so happy?

The lioness never appeared online after the incident. I missed her. She almost faded out of my head. That scar my lip, it made me look raucous. I decided to keep my hair short. Shirts were replaced by Megadeth exclusive T-shirts. Every second day I was either beating someone or getting beaten up. My parents were summoned or the first time in their lives, much to their disbelief. They were embarrassed, sad but hopeful towards me. I was spared after a thirty minutes long self-improvement session with dad.

Ms Sheena Harbor couldn't find the cat that visited her for fishes in her dorm. For first few days she was sad but then she forgot about it. Meanwhile, that pussy was visiting me for fried fish I used to get from the Indian shop in the outskirts of the university. I was wrong about the maximum dose of silicon and mercury oxide it could take. It was bleeding through its mouth when I found it, though it was sick since I started injecting and feeding it mercury deposits in minor quantities.

He was awfully tall, broad shoulders and a hat on the head covering his grey hair. He was man in his early forties. Husky moustaches and angry eyes were some notable aspects of his face. Angry because he saw me burying the cat.

"You certainly must be the one who created ripples in the chemistry Olympiad last year." He said in an affirming tone.

"Yes sir." I stopped, covered in mud.

He looked at he looked at the cat, covered in mud. The silicon deposits and the mercury poisoning had made its fur to come off. I was afraid. He looked at me with an eye of suspicion. I was afraid.

"I'm sorry for your loss kid." He said, his eyebrows low with sadness. He patted me on the back and walked away. His hand caused this burning sensation on my shoulder. I didn't took much notice of it.

I was back burying the cat, in a hurry. I couldn't waste more time, my clothes were muddy, and I smelled bad. Burying it properly, I left some rose seeds over its body. It was beautiful cat, white, pure white.

The burning sensation didn't go. It eventually increased. There was no sign or blisters, I could feel it however. I went to the room, and took a look at my shoulder, it was perfectly normal.

"You are coming for the fluids class, right asshole?" Dev said peeking through the door.

I pressed against my skin, it was hot.

"Where were you last night?" I asked him picking up my books.

"Well, Travis and Daemon won all the hard cash. I lost 35 bucks, thank you motherfucker." He said making a face.

"I don't understand." I closed the door. "I made you lose 'em?"

"Around 29 kids made bets." He paused to laugh. "27 were on pawan."

"Travis and Daemon might have made some good cash." I reckoned.

"300 bucks." He said, devouring a Choco bar. "You fucked everything up, asshole."

"Wtf!" My jaw dropped open, kind of touched the ground.

"Each of them made 300 bucks." He continued. "I hate you so much now."
