I often wonder why I am here.
Here as in Indiana,
Here as in Southport,
Here as in this vast world,
Here as in amidst so many people in need.I think You put me here for a reason.
Take that back-
I know You did.I know You have a plan for me,
It's just hard to find it in between
All of this fog that we call daily life. One thing I know for sure is
You gave me a heart for others.A heart that sees someone broken
Then suddenly
Transforms into a shoulder to cry on
And a mouth to spew adviceA heart that searches for the wounded
To go and save
Before looking down
And realizing there's a bullet hole
through her own legI give so much of myself away
That when it turns to 12am
I'm left laying alone in my dark room
Lonely, exhausted, and just a bit more than completely emptyI dream of the day when
I have someone to lay next to me
Who reminds me that this is a good life,
That we have a Father who loves us,
And that the light will outcast the darkness
Every
Time.Plans? I have some.
Dreams? Now those are what fill my head and spill out of my mouth if I'm not careful.
