Very very short update, promise I'll update tomorrow!
The boys were arms full in grocery bags as they stumbled into their apartment.
“Luke!” Ashton rejoiced, placing his bags on the counter.
The blonde looked over at his friends, his eyes red. “Oh, hey guys.”
Ashton sighed. “What did you do?”
Luke shook his head, pressing his palms on his eyes. “I just made supposedly the love of my life cry.”
Michael let out a low whistle. “Dude, you won’t last more than 24 hours. You may not remember her, but you won’t be able to resist to go back to grovel for her forgiveness.”
“Why?” Ashton asked Luke, ignoring his friend.
“I got all my stuff from the flat we shared and she asked me if I was ever going to see her again and all I told her was ‘Good-bye’.” He felt even more miserable saying it aloud.
Calum threw away the plastic bags, done unpacking the food. “Mate, you did what was necessary. You can’t live in a house with someone you don’t know, but once you regain everything you remember from the last two years, you can go back. She can’t be mad at you for not being comfortable.”
Luke didn’t feel any better, but nodded. “Well, I’m going to go to bed, guys. It’s about nine.”
Ashton hugged his friend comfortingly. “I am sorry, mate. We’ll talk about this in the morning.”
The teenager walked into the back of the house, knowing that he’d need somewhere farthest from the family room. Every Friday night was pizza and video games and the tradition couldn’t have ended in the past two years. Luke found Calum’s room and sat down on his bed, putting his head in his hands.
“Why did this have to happen to me?” He questioned. It was like a wall was blocking everything that he can’t remember. It was teeming with knowledge of the past, but still held strong with no sign of breaking anytime soon.
Hours passed and it was almost midnight when Luke pulled on his jacket and carefully picked Ashton’s car keys from the sleeping boy.
“Where are you going?” Michael said, waking up from his snuggle with Calum.
“Xitlali’s.” Luke replied, opening the front door.
Michael smiled lazily. “I freaking called it.”
