I pulled my shirt down further over my legs as I went to open the door. It was at least one in the morning and I was in no mood to be messed with the neighborhood kids who prank everyone.
I stood on the tips of my toes to see through the looking glass and gasped.
"Luke?" I asked, raising an eyebrow when I opened the door.
"I remember!" He said, his voice ringing through the empty halls.
"What?"
"I remember where you live! I didn't need help from anyone; it was almost like it was a reflex!"
"Honey, that's great, but what does that have to do with anything?"
Luke grabbed my shoulders, and bent down to get eye level with me. "If I can remember this, then what else can I pluck from this-this wall behind my head?"
"I still don't understand-,"
"I want to move in with you. I want to try living the way I used to. I mean the boys described our relationship as something more along the lines of a fantasy, and what's so bad about that?" His words were rushed, I caught on and smiled bigger than before.
"That sounds perfect, Luke." I grabbed his hand and shut the door before pulling him over to our shared bedroom.
I fussed with the sheets, mumbling how I wasn't expecting any visitors. I rushed around the room, trying to not focus on Luke's gaze on me, and picked up any messy clothes I had thrown.
He laughed softly and placed his hands on my waist and I stopped everything I was doing. "I'm sorry, I'm being a bit dramatic with everything, aren't I?" I laughed at myself, not feeling very humorous.
I felt his warm breath in my ear as he whispered. "It's kind of cute."
and that is the end of this lovely chapter ladies and gentlemen:)
