**One year later**
I stared at myself in the mirror, watching as Jessika curled my hair and pinned it up into a beautiful updo. My makeup was light as always. Barely any powder, a little mascara, but popping red lips. I knew how much they drove Luke crazy, he always told me that he wants to just kiss it all off. I smiled at the thought of Luke. Luke Anthony Mark Brooks. My little lamb, gosh he's perfect. His semi-curly hair always perfect no matter how he wore it. That small dot on his nose. His lip ring. And that bo- "Hairs done!" Jessika said, interrupting my thoughts. I looked at her masterpiece and smiled. "Okay now let's get that dress on!"
I walked over to where my dress lay and carefully picked it up. It was my mother's, James and I had snuck back into my dad's house one day and stole it, and I felt it was only right to wear it. I stepped into it an pulled my arms through, but stood there awkwardly. It's pretty much a worldwide tradition to have your mother zip you up. "Uh, Gina.. Can you come here?" "Yes love?" "Can you zip me up?" I asked a little sheepishly. A huge grin spread across her face and she pulled me into a hug. "Of course!" Zzzp. I studied myself in the mirror. The dress was perfect, Jess had made my hair amazing, my makeup was just the right amount. I had to admit, I actually looked gorgeous. "My god Al, you're so in love it's like glowing out of you!" I let out a nervous laugh, Jess giggled along, but Gina caught it and pulled me aside.
"I know how you're feeling, trust me. But you need to calm down, you guys are in love! You know it, Luke knows it, even the fans know it! You two have been through so much together and are still standing. It's meant to be. You make my son happy, and you will for the rest of his life." I was crying by now and Gina wiped away the tears carefully. "Thank you Gina, can I go get some air?" "Of course, we planned it so that you would have about 45 minutes to do what you please, then come back and still have time for a touch up." I smiled and gave her another hug then walked down the hall. I stopped at the room Luke was in and placed my ear up to the door. "Why can't I just marry her already!? I can't wait any longer!" I giggled, and continued down the hall and out the front door.
The park the building was in was about an hour out of Glen Roy and gorgeous of course, but I had another reason for picking this place. If you follow a small path through a patch of trees it brings you to a cemetary. The cemetary where my mom is buried. I still remembered exactly where her tombstone was.
"Hi mom," I said as I walked up, "I just came by to let you know that i'm actually getting married today. His name is Luke brooks, he's so perfect. I know you would love him because he's actually a lot like you! He's so sweet and caring, and he has the best sense of humor just like you. I met him through James, because I actually had been living with him for the past year and a half before I got an apartment with Luke. I know you're probably wondering why I moved.. Dad lost it, mom. He got so.. angry. He always took it out on me. I had to leave. Greg is in prison, he did a lot of bad things." I was sobbing now. "I miss you so much mom. Please come back, please." I crumpled down but was caught by a hand. I turned and saw it was James. He pulled me into a hug and I just continued sobbing into his chest. It felt like we stood there forever before he spoke up, "We have to get you back Al," I took a deep breath and followed my cousin back to the wedding hall.
"WHERE WERE YOU!?" Jessika screamed as I walked in. "I need air!" "We gave you 45 minutes! It's been an hour and a half!" "I'm sorry, just please fix my makeup so I can marry the love of my life." She did as she was told and then got in her place in front of the door. The Brooks' little cousin was the flower girl, so when the music started and the doors opened she walked out first followed by Jessika and Gine, then me being escorted by James. Everyone was standing and smiling at me, but I kept my eyes locked on Luke. He let out a sigh of relief, he probably thought I had left to never come back, but a smile soon followed. I joined him at the altar and he lifted my veil.
Luke's POV:
The ceremony was going pretty fast so far, and I was enjoying every second of it. I studied Alex. She looked perfect. I just wanted to get this over with and leave to our place to sleep then wake up and go to Hawaii. I was brought out of my thoughts by the priest saying the words I had been waiting for. "I now pronounce you Mr. and Mrs. Brooks, you may kiss the bride." and that's exactly what I did.
As we were pulling away the doors at the end of the aisle flew open and a man entered. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?" Alex screamed. That's when it registered. This is Alex's father. I made fists and tried to walk towards him but Jai pulled me back. "You can't marry him!" her father screamed. "Too late," she spat back. Her father looked hurt, but anger took over and he charged at her. I swiftly jumped in front of her but was thrown to the ground, my vision blurred and I heard the boys yelling and running. I shook the diziness away and got up, bolting after the disgusting man. I surpassed my brothers easily but I was too late, Alex was getting thrown into the back of a car atleast 100 feet away. I tried to make it over there but the car was already pulling away as I pulled on the locked handle.
I backed away shocked. I didn't know what to think. Jai jogged up and put a hand on my shoulder. "She's gone," I muttered. "We'll get her back bro, we always do." I believed him. I had to, I needed Alexandra.
