She's A Miracle - Chapter Two

Y/N'S POV

2 months after Kirishima became friends with me and Mina the three of us were hanging out at an abandoned park. Me and Mina were swinging on the rusted swing set whilst Kirishima was hitting a large tree with his quirk.

"What did that tree ever do to you?" I asked watching Kiri chip away at the tree's bark.

"I need to train somehow. My quirk isn't the most flashy so I have to make it strong." He said walking back to me and Mina. Before I could tell him that his quirk was amazing, Mina jumped off of her swing.

"Hey y/n, I challenge you to a swing off!" Mina yelled.

"I accept the challenge. Kirishima, can you judge to see who swings higher?" I said as I slowed myself down to a hault.

"Okay," Kirishima walked up to the swing set and we both got ready. "Three! Two! One! Start!"

It was close but in the end I won. Mina and I shook hands out of respect and Kirishima cheered. We all sat down on a bench and decided to talk about U.A.

"Do you think I'll even be allowed to sign up?" I asked looking at my feet.

"Of course you will!" Mina exclaimed, "Your quirk will develop soon."

"Yeah, Mina's right. And once you get it you will become one of the best Proheroes ever!" Kirishima grinned but I just looked at him blankly.

"Yeah, I know our little plan. Get a quirk. Be a heroes together. You guys believe in me but I know others don't. I know the doctors don't. The last time I went there she didn't even run tests on me, she just said, 'If you have a quirk it would have manifested by now. You should think of a different thing to do with your future.' My whole family is quirkless so why should I be any different?" I blurted out, not noticing the tears flowing down my face.

"Y/n. You are different! I feel it. I know it. I will never give up on you, believe in yourself and see the power you know you have!" Mina stood up, looking down at me.

"We both know you will get your quirk! Plus, I have never met such a determined person before. You always study tactics and quirks, and you train to get stronger. You've shown me how to never give up on myself!" Kirishima was also standing up a hopeful smile on his face.

"We believe in you." I smiled at my two best friends, they are always there for me. As I stood up Mina and Kirishima hugged me and I hugged back. When they pulled away from me I started to feel a warm sensation in my chest. At first I thought it was my regained hope I was feeling but it started to hurt. Kirishima and Mina saw the expression on my face change.

"Y/n? Are you okay?" Kirishima asked, clearly worried about me. The burning slowly creeped up my throat making my voice crack.

"I don't know what's happening." I managed to choke out. Mina placed her hand on my forehead.

"You're burning up!" She exclaimed, starting to panic. "Kirishima, what should we do?"

"There is a hospital about three blocks away. We could take her there." Kirishima suggested, trying to keep calm.

Just as I was about to speak, the burning flowed to my mouth. My instant response was that I was going to throw up so I opened my mouth and turned my head to the side. I looked as fire clouded my vision before it died down. I blinked a couple of times wondering what the hell happened. 

"Did you see what I just saw or am I crazy?" I asked glancing at my two friends. They both just stood there as though they just saw a ghost.

"You just breathed FIRE!" Mina shouted grabbing me by my shoulders and shook me back and forth.
