Y/N's POV

I must be dreaming.

I looked up at U.A High in awe. I rested my headphones on my shoulders. The school was very elegant near the bottom with white pillars and three large red doors; each one with 1, 2 or 3 in gold on it. At the top it looked more modern with windows covering every inch. U.A was surrounded by a tall wall for protection. I stood underneath a deep blue arch with U.A in golden letters on it, white arches trailing behind it. The path had trees on both sides making the place seem more full of life.

I closed my eyes, took a deep breath and huffed out a little smoke. I was half way to the school when I heard a very familiar voice cutting through the air.

"Y/N!!!!!!" Mina yelled. Before I could even turn my head I felt her bump into my back as I stumbled forward. Luckily she caught me before I fell on my face.

"Try not to kill me Mina. I am only a couple steps away from achieving my dream." I said dusting off my uniform which I spent one whole hour on so I looked perfect for the exam.

"Sorry y/n but you told me you were going to wait for me outside my house!" She yelled as we started to walk.

"Ohhhhh. I thought I forgot something." I mumbled as I adjusted my backpack. Mina looked at me horrified.

"You forgot?!" She blinked at me as her expression became more blank. "To be honest I'm not surprised."

"Hey!" I said faking a pout before the two of us burst out laughing. Mina started laughing so hard she had to stop walking.

"Did you do your training over the summer?" Mina asked once she calmed down.

"You know I did, you text me every day plus my dad can be really strict. But I'm glad he pushed me to my limits so I can be more stronger!" I exclaimed.

"The exam doesn't start for a few more minutes, can you show me some stuff?" She asked giving me puppy eyes.

I sighed as I made my wings appear; when they started growing it hurt like hell, they ripped the flesh off my back leaving two scars on my back. They grew quite quickly so when I was 12 they could actually lift me off the ground.

I took off from the ground and did a couple tricks and loops around Mina and the arches. I realised some people started watching me so I came down to the ground slowly. Most of the people who were watching cheered, making me blush. A few just walked off, I think they were a little jealous.

"Whoa y/n! That was amazing!" Mina cheered as we started making our way to the school again.

"Thanks." I mumbled as I rubbed the back of my neck.

"You need to learn how to receive praise." Mina chuckled as I hit her on the arm.

"I'm just a modest person, okay?" I huffed smoke out of my nose, something that I do when I'm annoyed or angry.

"Okay okay! You're modest." She put her hands up in defence as we got to the white stone steps.

I looked at Mina and she looked back. We both smiled at each other.

"It's actually happening." I sighed looking up at U.A High.

"This is our chance to be heroes." Mina also went quiet. Her smile wavered a little which never happened before. I grabbed her hand and ran up the steps with her. She almost tripped over from shock.

"Warn me next time!" She yelled.

"Now we're even."

When we walked into the school Mina and I were given a slip of paper which were our exam tickets. We both sat down and I placed my slip down. All of a sudden a man was at the front of the room shouting his head off. He had tall blonde hair and a two piece moustache. He wore blue head phones, a black leather jacket and orange sunglasses.
