Hikaru stared at nothingness. He gripped his kunai very tight in his small palm, recalling what had happened.

I stabbed Hima-neesan... I stabbed her.

His hand shook at the thought. How could he do such thing? Also, after what he did, the Uzumakis never let him near them anymore. Boruto and Himawari were already discharged from the hospital a week ago and Hikaru wanted to see them but something is holding him back.

No, someone's holding him back. His mother, his father, his auntie, his uncle, and his cousins. There's no way a criminal would just show up to his victim and say how she's doing.

He was staying at the private training grounds of the Sarutobi household to train but he couldn't just wrap his finger around practicing since he was too distracted to just even throw a kunai so he just stayed there, staring at the circles where he was supposed to drive the kunai in.

Neji? Who's Neji?

His breathing hitched as his mind echoed the name.

Neji? WHO'S NEJI?!

Tears fell down his face, forced to come down by gravity, confliction, and sorrow. Hikaru always hated this feeling. He hated being Neji. It felt like his life wasn't his own, it felt like someone attached strings to his limbs to control him like a little wooden puppet boy. He doesn't know where he's going nor he does know where he is being led. He's just lost, wandering aimlessly tired with the strings pulling him.

Who am I really?

Was it Neji's fault for being so selfish? He's the one who started this in the first place but isn't Hikaru...Neji?

Who's Hikaru? Who's Neji? Hikaru and Neji thought. This is madness. Who am I really? Who? Who? WHO?! WHO?!

His shoulders shook as his sobbing intensified. He can't believe he started a thing to ruin him further. Neji was already ruined beyond repair and yet, he chose a selfish choice that destructed his ruined state even more. He was already beaten to ashes and yet, he's ego swallowed him still. He still didn't accept defeat and made a new problem for himself. A problem which he can't even solve. He's stuck in this state, dumb and stupid and frozen.

But wait, there's more. There is escape.

His eyes glittering with tears stared at the blade he's holding in his hand.

Escape.

He must do this.

Escape, Neji. Escape, Hikaru.

He gripped the blade, tears still visible on his eyes.

Escape and free yourself, Neji, Hikaru.

He closed his eyes and let his hand stab his heart in a single jab. His eyes shot open as unbearable pain seared to his chest. He coughed out blood and fell, sprawling his dying form on the ground. Tears graced his eyelashes as his eyes slowly fluttered to a close.

I'm sorry for being greedy.

Sarutobi Hikaru has died.

Beep...beep...beep...

"That's so many blood! Quick! Get the best medics around!"

What? Who's that?

Thump...thump...thump...
