(Jack's point of view)
I couldn't wait for tonight. I'm really starting to like her. I got home and told my parents about the cookout. It was 4:00pm currently which means I have less than three hours to be at Jen's. I was going to surprise Jen, she deserved it. I was going to make it a welcome/will you go on a date with me surprise. I stood there looking at my phone waiting for her to text me.. what if she's not interested?
(Jen's point of view)
I looked at my notebook once more to see Jack's horrible handwriting. I laughed. God he's so cute, It read, "Here's my number, call me if you ever need anything! ANYTHING! -Jack" It took me a while to read it. I couldn't wait until 7:00! Jack was going to be here! I stood there looking at my phone waiting for him to text me. I chose the cutest bikini i had. it was my newest one from Triangl. I glanced at the clock and it was 5:30. I through on my bikini and decided to go outside and dip my feet in the pool. I also decided to text Jack that he can come already since nobody was here yet and I was bored. He didn't respond. I was freaking out because I knew i shouldn't have text him first. Now I sound desperate. i sat there by my pool while looking at my Twitter newsfeed. I decided to search Jack on Twitter. Maybe his Twitter was @jackgilinsky? It was. I looked at his latest tweet, "i can't wait for tonight." I got butterflies in my stomach. Like tons of them. I put my phone down and the doorbell rang. Ugh it's probably my mom. I opened it, and nobody was there. The doorbell rung again. I opened the door and said, "Whoever this is, it isn't funny." "You look stunning." a voice said. Wait, this voice sounds familiar. "Jack?" I said. He laughed as he walked out from behind my Jeep. "Let's go for a swim!" I exclaimed. He agreed and followed me. He was shirtless and his body was amazing. We layed down by the pool and continued talking about how amazing school would be together since we were both Juniors in highschool. "What's your schedule?" he asked. "Oh i have boring classes, I have Physics, US history, Lunch, Study Hall, Pre-Cal, and athletics." I replied. "Well not so boring, because we have the same classes and lunch! I also have athletics 5th period!" he excalimed. "Isn't it weird how this happened? It's like..." I paused. "We were meant to be together?" he finished. I sat up criss crossed and stared into his eyes as he stared at mine. "Yes exactly" I smiled. He smiled back, he was perfect. I can't believe this is happening!.....The doorbell rung, me and Jack got up. It was my parents with the food. "Oh thank God." I said. I sat down at the table with Jack as we ate. "So Jack," my dad started, "I trust you with my daughter, you hurt her, you won't get passed me!" Everyone laughed. "Yes sir, I really like your daughter and as our friendship starts growing more and more, so will my respect." he looked at me and smiled. The doorbell rung and it was Jack's parents. My mom and his mom got along so well. So did his dad and my dad. 20 minutes passed and our house was full. Movies were playing, kids were swimming, grownups were laughing, this cookout was a success! "Let's go to the game room?" I asked Jack. "Sure!" he replied. In the game room I had my TV, my piano, my guitar, and my Mac. "You play guitar and sing??" Jack asked enthusiastically. "Yeah I love singing!" I mentioned. "Let's sing! I'll play guitar and we do a duet?" he smiled. I agreed. Wow. He can sing too?? "Let's sing Skyscraper by DL !" I stated. "I love that song!" he added. We sang pretty good together. (song on video above) At the end of the song, we both looked at eachother and smiled. "I really like you Jen." Jack said. He started getting closer to me. I wanted him to kiss me so bad, and I had a feeling he was going to, but I didn't want to get my hopes up. So I just changed the subject. "I really like you too Jack, I really like how our voices sound together, you're a really good singer have you ever sung before???"
(Jack's point of view)
She wouldn't stop talking, I wanted to kiss her so bad. But she probably won't feel the same way. I'm scared.
(Jen's point of view)
It was getting late and everyone was leaving. "Hey I think I'm gonna head home, I'm already the last one here" Jack stated. Noo! I didn't want him to leave yet! "Okay, goodnight!" I said as I was shutting the front door. He stopped the door from shutting, walked back inside, put my hair behing my ear, looked me in the eyes and kissed me.
