Chapter Eight- Broken

(Jen's pov)

I made eye contact with Erik, he had beautiful eyes. I missed him so much. I looked towards the room door and saw Jack with a bouquet of roses. We made eye contact but this time, we didn't smile at eachother. By the look of his face he was hurt. He dropped the roses at the edge of my bed and left without saying a word. It hurt me seeing Jack like this. After what he did, I still have feelings for him. 

"What was that about?" Erik laughed. I shrugged, "Nobody, just a friend", Erik and I stayed talking all night, since he was going to take care of me and stay with me until the morning. He told me how he was just visiting Omaha for a couple of days because of a basketball camp he's attending for the University of Nebraska. He was heading back to the University tomorrow morning. It got late and we went to sleep. 

*Next day*

The sunlight shining through the window woke me up. I looked around the room and Erik wasn't here. He left already. I was alone in the room. I heard a knock on the door, "come in" i said as i tried to sit up. "Come to the cafeteria to get some breakfast, you'll be able to leave around noon" the doctor said. I got my crutches and followed the doctor. As we passed the waiting area, I saw Jack. He was asleep, he was wearing the same clothes as yesterday. Did he stay here all night? He woke up with the sound of the crutches hitting the floor and looked at me. He got up quickly and helped me to cafeteria. "I need to talk to you" he started. "I'm sorry about the other day, at my house. I made a huge mistake, I shouldn't have treated you the way I did. I got carried away. Truth is I'm stil a virgin. And I wanted you to be my first, but I don't want to force you to do anything you don't want to. If you don't want to talk to me I completely understa-" I kissed him. "It's fine," I said with a smile. "Let's get some breakfast somewhere else, hospital food tastes horrible" I told him. He looked relieved when I forgave him. He hugged me and kissed my forehead. "Anything you want princess" He went to the front office and checked out my name. "Wait I forgot some stuff in the room" I told him. As we walked to the room he helped me carry the giant teddy bear and flowers Erik got me. I tied the balloons to my crutches and held the pretty flowers Jack's parents gave me, and in the other hand held the beautiful roses Jack got me. I got on the wheelchair as Jack pushed me to his Jeep. "Hey Jack, I don't want you to feel bad about the teddy bear and flowers my friend Erik got me, he's just a really old friend of mine that happened to be in town." Jack put all of the things in the back of the car and closed the door. "I have to admit, I was kind of jealous when I walked into you two staring at eachother last night" he started, "but that doesn't matter right now, cause I have you, that's the important part" he said as he smiled. He carried me to my seat and put the wheelchair in the backseat with the crutches. He turned the car on and asked me, "Where do you want to go?" I looked at him and smiled "Surprise me!" he took my hand and held it as he was driving. "I know just the place" He took me to In N Out Burger. "I love this place!" I told him. He turned and looked at me with a huge smile on his face, "Really!?! Me too." He helped me off the car and we ordered. I sat down as I waited for him to order for me, then this blonde girl came up to me. "Hey, who are you?" she asked in a rude way. I looked at her, "Excuse me?" She rolled her eyes and said, "Who do you think you are? Ever since the other day at school, I've seen you with Jack. I need you to back off, he's just using you for sex either way." she said as she walked away. She was short, chubby, and had blonde hair and pretty eyes. "Who is she?" I thought to myself. Jack came to the table with our food. "What was that all about?" he asked me. I told him what had happened. "Who was this girl?" he asked. I pointed to the girl which was sitting a couple of seats behind us. Jack nearly spit out his water. "That's my crazy ex girlfriend Leigh." he said. I hate to admit it but I got jealous. Jack noticed I looked upset and said, "Hey, don't worry though, that was the past. Let's worry about the present. You're more beautiful than her eitherway babe" he said as he rubbed my hand. I looked at him and smiled, "I love you!" I was eating my burger and I saw Jack take out his iPhone. He took a picture of me. "Hey why are you doing that" I laughed. 

(Jack's pov) 

She took a bite out of her burger. As she put her burger down, she had a smudge of ketchup on her cheek. She didn't notice, so I decided to take a picture of her and put it on instagram. She noticed I took a pic of her and started laughing. God her laugh was so cute. I laughed with her and licked my thumb as I cleaned the ketchup off. "i'm going to post it on intagram, don't get mad!" I said. She shrugged and continued eating. I captioned the picture, Lunch with my beautiful date :) I posted it and I got 468 likes in one minute. I looked at Jen as I caught her taking a picture of me. " Stoppp" I smiled.

(Jen's pov)

I took a picture of Jack. i took it as soon as he smiled so he looked perfect. I captioned it Lunch with my handsome date :) I added Jack on instagram and he had over 1 million followers, and he was only following 200. "You're so popular" I said, "You don't have to follow me back, i understand if you don't like to follow a ton of people, besides I only have 1,000 followers haha" I said. He looked at me, "No! I will follow you, of course I am going to." he said as he followed me. As I recieved the notification that he followed me, I started getting tons of followers. After 10 minutes i went from 1,000 followers to 14k! I was surprised. As we finished eating Jack helped me up. I forgot my crutches in the car, so I had to put my arm around Jack to help me balance. "No, let me carry you" he said as he carried me bridal style. We passed Leigh's table and Jack kissed me for a good minute. We continued walking past her table. She stuck her foot out and tripped us, me and Jack landed on the floor. My foot was in pain. I hugged my foot as I tried to sit up, I couldn't hold back the tear as it fell down my cheek. Jack got up and held my hand. He whiped the tear off my face and kissed my forehead. He looked at Leigh. He looked so mad, I've never seen him like this. He clenched his jaw and hugged me. "oops, that was my fault" Leigh laughed as she jumped over my foot.
