ADVENTURE 6
After they had been thoroughly inspected, the new addition to DeConfidence setters filed up in front of the store room. Madam Chilaka stormed towards them with a disdainful look holding a small note book. The students made sure to make more way for her as she passed through them. She pulled out a small key she had been concealing in her palm and licked the tip before using it to open the padlock to the store. They all squeezed their face in disgust by the foul act. She burst the door open revealing a room filled with different articles of clothing, books, stationaries and even sporting equipment. The room was bigger than expected and neatly arranged. Madam Chilaka pulled out a white plastic chair and dragged it towards the section with the articles of clothing which were mostly uniforms and sat down. She picked up the note book she had brought earlier and tore out a page which she folded evenly and coated the folded edges with saliva before tearing it out into five pieces. They all watched in horror as she scribbled something on each paper before squeezing each one into a ball.
"Oya pick." She finally said extending her arms with her palm wide open holding the balled up papers. They all looked at themselves with scowls before looking back at her. Seeing as the students remained unshaken, Madam Chilaka threw the papers on the tiled floor and hissed loudly in frustration.
"Useless children you think I don't have better things to do." She muttered as she stood up and went to the book section at the farthest end of the room.
"Wait is she serious right now? She creates a spit ball right before our eyes and expects us to touch it?" Whitney was the first one to speak. Ruby shook her head in wonder and disgust.
"Look...guys." Rory sighed from behind as he walked toward the area with the papers.
"These guys think we are a delicate specie and are incapable of adapting to their strange customs. They now also think we are ill-mannered beings thanks to the stunt goggles here pulled earlier." He looked at Ruby.
"Shee!-"
"Upupup!" He interjected as she opened her mouth to defend herself.
"I'm not saying this to reprimand anyone or their actions all I'm saying is let's just try to get through this even if we don't like it here." He picked up one of the balls of paper.
"I know I don't" Whitney announced.
"We know!" the lot of them replied simultaneously earning a deadly glare from her.
"But I'm still not touching that." She added.
"Come on WhitWhit remember when we would always bathe you in spit balls in the third grade before your...you know transformation." Brandon chuckled as he also picked a paper ball.
Whitney concentrated her death glare at him while he just smirked back at her. Erika and Ruby followed suit, each picking a ball of paper.
"Come on Princess I highly doubt you picking up a spit ball will reduce your followers on instagram." Erika teased and the rest chuckled. Madam Chilaka who was glaring at them from the other side of the room as if they were plotting a coup decided to go back to them seeing they had started picking the paper balls she had rolled up.
Whitney reluctantly picks the last of the paper balls as if it was a dirty napkin.
"What does yours say- mine says good news Maroon." Rory inquired peeking into Brandon's who was already scowling at his paper.
"Good news Maroon too." Whitney announced.
"Mine says Charity Blue." Brandon muttered.
"Faith yellow." Ruby shrugged.
