I woke up the next morning and smiled as I remembered everything that happened between Tyler and I last night. I can't believe I was Tyler's girlfriend. If someone told me two weeks ago that this would happen I would have laughed in their face but now, I couldn't be happier. The smile on my face was gigantic and I felt like nothing could ruin that. As cheesy as it sounds I couldn't wait to see him this morning. I couldn't wait to see his beautiful brown eyes and sparkling white smile that charmed anybody who looked at it.
All through dinner last night Tyler and I kept sharing smiles like we both won the lottery. My mom kept looking at us curiously and about halfway though her eyes got huge and a smile made it's way to her face.
"Emma, Can I talk to you after dinner? Don't worry it's not anything bad."
"Sure Mom." I told her while nodding my head.
I really needed to tell someone about this before I busted of excitement and no one's better than my mom. I considered my mom one of my best friends. I could tell her anything and she would understand. Plus she always had the most amazing advice.
After dinner I made my way to my mom's room and saw her sitting in her bed watching TV. When I walked in she quickly turned it off and patted the spot next to her. I sat down in the spot she told me to and turned towards her.
"So, What did you want to talk about?" I asked already knowing the answer.
"What's going on with you and Tyler?"
"Wow Mom. You get right to it." I joked.
"Oh, just let it out already!"
"Okay! Well, last night he kinda asked me out... and I said Yes!" I finished in a rush with a big smile on my face.
"Oh my gosh! Really? I knew you two would end up together! Sara and I were actually discussing you guys getting together and how cute it would be! I'm so happy for you honey!" My mom gushed sounding a lot like a teenage girl.
"Thanks mom. I'm really happy too."
"Thats's great! Now that you two are together though I have to ask you something."
"Okay....?"
"It's about sex. Do you still want to wait 'till marriage?"
"Of course! I've had that plan made since I was 15. I'm definitely not changing it now, I promise."
"Okay good. I was just making sure. If you ever change your mind all you have to do is tell me and we will go to the doctor."
"Alright but I don't think I will. '
"Good. I'm going to crash. Night beautiful. I love you." My mom said while wrapping her arms around me.
I hugged her back and replied "Night Mom. I love you too."
After I walked back upstairs I decided I was ready for bed too and as I walked past Tyler's door I glanced in to see he was still awake.
"Hey. I just wanted to tell you goodnight."
His head popped up and when he heard my voice and he started to get up.
"Goodnight cutie."
My face turned bright red at my new nickname but I had to admit it was pretty cute. Before I could say anything else his lips made it's way to mine. It was a simple kiss and when he pulled away he kissed my forehead.
"You're so cute when you blush." He said before walking back to his bed.
"Goodnight Tyler."
I walked back into my room and went to sleep.
