Chapter 7: The End of the world

After leaving the school for the last time, we decide to walk towards the lake, Lake Heart. It's well-known for being one of the best areas to hang out anytime, especially at night. The area is also known for a place to visit a Heart Goddess, Sweetheart, who only appears during the day for questions and tips. Well, sometimes she's there. You may wonder, is there a Heart God at night? Depending on what country you live in, you'll see Lady, Light, Cream, or King, the other Heart Gods.

The only times Sweetheart apprears at night is to check on the top sweethearts, who're the most likely to be seen with. The top sweethearts has five to eight people depending on the Heart Gods decision. Twenty years ago, there were ten top sweethearts, eight of them were high schoolers. It's sad that we're definitely not gonna have the same amount of sweethearts now from twenty years ago. But because he world's going to end soon, things are not gonna change.

After we reach to Lake Heart, we saw Sweetheart near the body of water. We were confused as to why she's standing there but we believe that she doesn't want to tell us what she's here for. When I walk twenty-five meters from Sweetheart, I grab her attention.

"Sweetheart?"

She turns around facing me, "Oh. Mi-Chan. Are you here for your final moments?"

"We are but. What're you doing here in the lake at this time?"

"Oh, that's a good question. Since me and the other gods have finished planning on what to do with the entire universe, I decided to come down here before the world gets too cold."

Alice starts talking to her, "But, what're you going to do with the universe then?"

"Well, let me explain what's going to happen. When the world turns to ice, we plan on defrosting the world with comets that'll turn a planet into a sun."

Gina responds to her, "Huh, that's pretty interesting. But what about the sun we have now?"

She responds looking at it, "The sun you're looking at will be destroyed because of the sphere. It can destroy anything when it approach the center of the sun."

Heaven asked her, "Doesn't the world end eight minutes after the sun's destroyed?"

"Well we actually have the ability to turn the world to ice even after the sphere reach to the center of the sun."

"Oh I see. So will there actually be a second earth out there?" I asked.

"Of course there will be one. If there wasn't a second earth or any other planet, we would've not end this world until there is one."

Gina appears stunned, "Oh. Well that makes sense now."

She starts walking, "Well. I better get going before I catch a cold. Don't want to stand here much longer."

We all said goodbye to Sweetheart before she disappears. We all look directly at the sun while the cold winds become stronger.

Gina grabs my attention, "Hey Mi-Chan. If you have any last wish you have, what will it be?"

I smiled, "I want to be together with you and everyone else when we reach to heaven. Why? Because even in heaven, I'll always love you as a friend."

Gina blushed, "Do you really mean it?"

"Of course I do. If it weren't for you I would've felt scared and defenseless."

Gina smiles and gives me a pat on the head.

Alice shares her wish, "I wish to see mommy and daddy again in heaven."

Heaven shares his wish, "I wish to see my parents and Nurse Beanie in heaven."

After the sphere reaches to the center of the sun, the Heart Gods prepares to make a move called the Frost Blast. We all cling together and said our last goodbyes before the it struck us and turned into ice. Everyone else brace themselves to prepare to meet their fate before being struck into ice.
