Maybe minutes is all it would take to kill him.
I sigh before taking a step to the corridor, back where I last saw him. I expected my feet to be wobbly on the first try but truthfully, Ariel has this walking thing mastered already.
But her body is heavy. I feel it weighing me down. Trying to drag me back.
Maybe she has finally realised who I want to kill -- being in the same body and all.
I brush the red locks away from my face and tighten my hold on the knife.
This is it. The last moment I can look at HIM up close.
I feel the body resisting my commands. I take a forceful step to HIM.
'I am sorry Ariel, I can't go back to Daro.'
I lift the knife, it glints sharply. I raise my hand above but the hand keeps on going...
I try to stop it but the body doesn't listen to me.
The silver moon shines down on the tragedy.
A knife hacking off my head.
