"Ava!" My mother woke me up,yelling from downstairs. "Ava there's something here for you!" She called again.
"Okay,Mom,I'll be down in a bit!" I yelled back down. I washed up and got dressed. I put on some skinny jeans and a thin,cotton shirt that read REBEL. It was black with Magenta lettering. I did simple make-up,just eyeliner and mascara.
I ran downstairs to see what my mom was talking about. I look at my dining table,and see a teddy bear.
"Wh-What's this?" I was really confused. "Mom,what's going on?"
"Honey,a nice young man came by earlier. You were still sleeping," she explained. "...and he dropped this off for you. His name,I believe,was Matthew. Do you know him?" She asked.
"Uhh.. I uh.." I stuttered. "Yeah! Yeah I do know Matthew,he's uh..in one of my classes.." I pretended.
"Oh how sweet! Are y'all friends? He was so sweet and nice!" She gushed.
"Yeah,Mom,we're friends."
No,we WEREN'T friends. I lied,I have no idea who this Matt kid is!? I need to find out who this person is..
"Oh,and Honey, I also-" I cut her off.
"K,Mom,gotta go. I'm gonna be late for school, so bye!" I kissed her and left. The only thing I could think about was Matt and his gifts.
Then I realized....
I had the teddy still in my hand and Taylor was waiting for me outside. I quickly shoved the bear into my backpack. I quickly walked out my door and got into Tay's car.
We were at school,and on the way,I hadn't said a word. Taylor noticed I was thinking,so he didn't say anything.
I got out of his car,and just couldn't concentrate. I numbed into somebody. She was tall,REALLY skinny,she had braces and light brown hair.
"Oh..S-sorry." I apologized.
"It's fine." She looked down,making no eye contact. "It..it uh was my fault." She apologized.
"No,I- Hey! You're in my English class,right?" I asked,smiling.
"Oh,yeah,I guess I am." She held out her hand,waiting for me to shake. "I'm Audrey,and you arrreeee....??" She waited.
"Oh! Heh. I'm Ava." I smiled and shook her hand.
"You wanna walk to English with me?" I asked. English was our first period. We walked down the English hall,and I saw that blonde kid from the pool and my classes. He was with the guy with highlights and the guy with brown hair and Eyebrows. The Highlights looked at me,making all of them look too. I rolled my eyes and kept walking.
"Hey!" Someone yelled from behind.
"Walk faster!" I whispered to Audrey.
"Hey you!" I turned around and it was Eyebrows yelling.
I sighed,"I'm sorry,Audrey. You just go ahead and go to class,okay? I'll meet you there! " I waved as she smiled. I turned around,aggravated.
"What do YOU want!?" I asked the jerk.
"Well,I heard you're friends with Taylor. He's one of us now and we're having a party at my place. You should come. Tonight at 8. I'll see you,Sweetcheeks." He was so ugh!!
"K bye. " I turn around and walked away. I left before he could say anything else.
I sat next to Audrey.
"Oh,hey Ava,this is my best friend,Laura." She introduced me to Laura. We all did our class work and talked about Justin Bieber. We all loved him,but we all know I love him more.
