Part 14
Ashton's POV
I couldn't believe her. After she knew I liked her! After I'd tried to kiss her at Cal's! After she told me she wanted to hold things off a little longer. I don't know where I was going, I just didn't want to be near her. I found an exit and went and sat outside in the gutter of an alley way. I whipped a couple of tears and sat with my head in my hands.
"Hey you're like Ashton Irwin!" I looked up to a bright eyed brunette smiling down at me, I smiled weakly and sunk my head again.
"I can clearly see that you're really upset and now isn't the time but can I have an autograph?" she held out a sharpie and smiled excitedly.
"Sure," I took the sharpie and the piece of paper she was holding and signed it as neatly as I could.
She sat down next to me and gave me a shoulder hug, it was kinda weird but I needed a hug.
"Thanks," I whispered whipping another tear
"Do you mind me asking what's wrong?"
"Just a girl," I sniffed
"What happened?" she hugged me again,"Wait you don't have to tell me...."
"I told her I liked her and tried to kiss her the other day and she told me she wanted to slow things down and now I find out that she spent her afternoon sucking some random's face!" I sunk my head again and whipped away another tear.
"Calm down, it's okay,"
"I'm sorry about laying this on you, please don't tell people about this we don't need any fan drama, you should get going the show is starting in like 5 minutes," I looked up her bright green eyes shining back.
She stood up and pulled me up afterwards and pulled me into a proper hug.
"Don't worry about this girl tonight, just enjoy the show." and with that she walked off.
I checked my phone. 6:53. Almost show time. I whipped my face with my sleeve and headed back inside.
"There you are!" I turned around to see Michael standing there
"What happened?" he asked when he saw my eyes were all red.
I explained the whole story and he just stood and listened. I heard drums start and then a bass came in. With Confidence had started their set.
"Come on, let's just go watch the show," he patted me on the back and we headed through backstage and made our way to the side of the stage so we were just out of view from the crowd.
I could see Ashleigh and Jess moshing with Calum.
*With Confidence finished their set and Some Time Soon are about to go on*
Ashleigh's POV
Jess and I flashed our backstage wristbands to the security guard and we headed back to see if I could find Ashton.
"Ashleigh!" I spun around to see Josh standing holding a water bottle his hair soaked with sweat and water.
"You guys were really good!" I laughed and he flicked water at me
I squealed,"Josh don't!"
I didn't want people to think I was flirting with Josh, I needed to find Ashton.
I run further backstage into a dressing room.
"Can I help you?" I turned to see I was in Forever Ends Here's dressing room.
"H-hey Kane..." I mumbled
"Ashleigh right?"
"Yeah..."
"Why are you running?"
"I'm hiding from Josh...."
Kane gave me a puzzled look,"He was throwing water on me that's all," I explained,"You haven't seen Ashton have you?"
"Not since before the show why?"
"Long story," I pulled out my phone and text Michael:
Are you with Ashton? I need to talk to him
I got an instant reply:
Yeah, come out to the carpark
I sighed and put my phone in my pocket.
"What's wrong?"
"Michael wants me to meet them in the carpark."
"But it's dark," Kane said
"Yeah I know, I better go," I smiled
"I'll come with you, make sure your not attacked," he laughed
We headed outside and I saw Michael and Ashton under a street light, we walked over.
"Kane?" Michael asked
"Yeah, I was just walking Ashleigh out to make sure she wasn't jumped or anything cause it's dark, anyway I'll see you inside later," and with that Kane turned and left.
"I'll leave you to it then...." Michael mumbled and followed Kane so I was left with Ashton.
"Please let me explain!" I begged
He looked up from the ground and shrugged
"Look what happened was he kissed me, it didn't mean anything and it was just as a joke! Ask Jess! Honestly!"
"So I'm meant to believe this guy just kissed you out of no where?"
I explain the whole story conversation and everything.
"You don't have to forgive me just please don't hate me...." I finished with.
"I don't hate you, it just hurt that's all...." he said staring at the ground
"Can I still stay at yours tonight or do you want me to get my dad to come get me?" I mumbled
"It's up to you, I don't mind..." he stared back at the ground
"Ashton I like you....a lot..."
I took a step closer to him so our faces were centimetres away.
He was tall enough for our mouths to be at the same height even when he was looking down.
I pushed his chin up with my face so our eyes met, stood on my toes and pushed my lips against his.
It was like something from a movie. The boy and the girl under a street lamp at night. I don't know how long the kiss lasted, I lost track of time.
Ashton's arms were wrapped around my waist and mine his neck. We both pulled away ad turned our heads to see Jess standing at the backstage door. She winked at me and then headed back inside. I rested my head on Ashton's crest and sighed.
"We should probably head inside..." Ashton trailed off
"Yeah..." we were both lost in our own thoughts but we entwined our fingers and wandered across the carpark and back inside.
