Sleepless Night

Allie's P.O.V

"You too huh?" Calum asked me.

"Yeah, couldn't sleep. I keep thinking about her." I replied and sat down next to him.

We pulled eachother into a hug and we sat silently like that for awhile. I was to upset to say anything. Calum was more upset then I was.

After what felt like hours, Cal spoke up.

"I know she said it happened for a reason. But I just can't wrap my head around it. What on earth is the reason?" Calum asked as he looked over at me. You could hear it in his voice, and see it on his face that he was still crying and had been for a while.

"I don't know Cal. Sometimes it's just time to go I guess." I answered. I removed my arm from around him and grabbed his hand that was laid on my side.

"I guess you're right but why did it have to be now? Why not after she became a mum, or an aunt? Why did she have to be so young?" Calum asked me, his voice making my heart break. I sighed and laid my head on his shoulder.

I could feel the baby kicking in my stomach and I know that always makes me feel better. Even if it's just a little bit, for a short moment, maybe it'll make Cal smile too.

"Cal, she's kicking." I stated. I felt his hand move over further onto my tummy. He left it there for a moment, I felt her kick againa nad when she did Cal smiled slightly.

"You know Cal, one day you're gonna be able to feel the same thing when you have a child on the way." I said and Calum smiled at me so I smiled back.

"I really hope so Allie." Calum said.

We stop talking and let it fall silent again. The only noise was of the small creek across the street from the graveyard where we sat.

The longer we sat here, the more tired I became.

I finally gave in to the heaviness of my eyes and fell asleep whilst leaning my head on Calum's shoulder. I know I should have gone home, but it was nice out here, and I just couldn't be bothered to move.

I was awoken by the sun shining brightly into my eyes.

"Morning sunshine." Cal said. I looked over at him, I had forgotten that we fell asleep next to Mali last night.

"Luke is probably worried about you. He checks on you every morning around this time. If you're not thee he'll go crazy. C'mon I'll walk you back." Calum siad. I nodded and took his outstreched hand to pull myself up off of the ground.

We started the short walk back to my house and we were quiet the whole way there.

Once we go to the door, I brought Calum into a hug.

"I'll probably be there again at somepoint." I said and pulled away.

"I'll be waiting." Calum said with a smile. It was small, but it was there and it was good to see it after the past week. There was to much crying for me to handle, it was good to see him genuinely smile after last night.

I walked in the door and walked upstairs to my room. I looked through the cracked door and saw Luke sitting on my bed.

"Babe, why are you up so early?" I asked as I walked in.

"I wantedto check on you, and you weren't here so I got really worried." Luke said. I sat down next to him and let out a sigh.

"I had to much on my mind. I went over to see Mali, and I fell asleep there with Cal. He needed to talk about it so I just stayed there with him last night." I explained and Luke nodded his head. He gave me a quick kiss on the forehead.

"You know you can wake me up. I'll go wiht you next time." Luke said. I nodded and laid down in the bed.

"I only slept for like three hours so I am gonna try and fall back to sleep." I said. Luke nodded and laid down next to me. He put his arm around me so that his hand was on my belly. He moved his hand slowly, and it was very soothing.

I fell asleep in minutes.

Luke's P.O.V

It hurts to know she is so upset about Mali that she had to sleep at her grave last night.

I just want her to go back to normal again. I know it wont be right away but eventually. I'm still not back to normal, but I hope to get used to it.

I just lay here beside her, and I can feel our little girl kicking my hand. I smile to myself as I shut my eyes and let sleep take me away again.

To the dreams of what my life will become in a matter of months.
