Summary

I've written poetry once before. I was still a beginner then, and I didn't believe in what I was doing, so I stopped doing it. There was no real reason for it, but it happened, even though I loved it. And I still do.

Which is why you are reading this right now. I've decided to pick up poetry again.

Because although I can stop writing, I can't stop thinking, and the words need to come out. So, here's what I've never told you.

Author's note

I've really doubted whether or not to publish this. There's this mean voice in my head that tells me every single piece of poetry in this collection is crap and I'm very inclined to believe him. I don't know what I'm doing or why I'm even trying.

However, there's this feeling--one I can't seem to get rid of--and it tells me to publish this because it might help someone else out. So, I'm going to publish it (with my eyes closed, like a friend told me to) in the hopes of my gut feeling being real.

If you're reading this, I hope you relate in any way to what I've felt and tried to put into words. You're not alone.
