Most people have never experienced true pain. They say they have, but they actually have no idea what it's like.
They don't know what it's like to truly suffer. They don't know what it's like to lose the ability to do anything, to feel weak, useless and dependent on others. They don't know what it's like to stare at the ceiling all day long, waiting for the minutes to go by and this day to pass so you know you have survived yet another day without having lived it. They don't know what it's like to wonder about tomorrow and hoping it will be different until waking up the next day and realizing there's another day like the day before awaiting. They don't know anything.
Let's just hope they never find out.
