I feel like not many people are getting a notification for an update for this book so just know that I update Tuesdays and Saturdays now. I'd just check yourself because with the bs feature wattpad has featured it's difficult to see anything. I hate it, people are spamming them so bad and it's annoying as hell. Tbh, I may have to resort to notifying people when I upload on there because you just can't see it otherwise.

"Keep her down," Colden snapped at the nurse who was trying to give Lily another dose of sedatives. The she-wolf thrashed underneath his grip and the restrains, snarling and screaming like a banshee that just found her voice.

He gritted his teeth when she caught the side of his jaw with her leg, holding in the snarl of pain. That would bruise, even just for a few hours.

"Hurry up," he half growled. The smell of panic filtered up to his nose when Lily reached towards the new nurse's throat, saliva dripped down her canines and her eyes were orange and dilated. She was slowly, but surely, losing the plot.

All of her wounds had healed but not the mental damage she suffered.

Just when he thought that he would have to inject Lily himself, Doctor Eaton rushed in as he tugged the white lab coat over his shoulders. His eyes were bleary from the sleep but Colden knew that he'd do a great job. It took give less than a minute to prepare himself. In that time, he had earned another kick to his face and the leg restraints broke.

Lily was near shifting. Colden feared that he would have to kill her. It was what they did whenever a wolf lost the control over their animal side and their grasp on humanity. There was none left in Lily's face. Her olive skin was bleak and see through and her orange eyes were rimmed by red.

A rouge. She had gone rogue.

Colden swallowed the sadness down and crushed it with his boot. He would look weak if the nurses smelt it.

With practised eased, Doctor Eaton had Lily pinned down by three other nurses as he injected her. Three doses are what it took for her to stop thrashing and another four to put her to sleep. She'd need regular doses every half hour or so; the fever that her body was in from the stress and the death of Will made the medication burn faster.

They were running out of options with what they could do yet Colden didn't feel like it was his choice. Lily was Will's mate, his best friend's other half, the only piece of him that they all had left. And she was broken.

Lucien needed to die and soon.

The doors to the infirmary opened. Belle rushed in with her hair askew in all directions- crumbs still clung to her shirt and she had a coffee stain on her jeans. Colden was glad to see her. There was so much that he had to do, to plan, and he couldn't do it without his sister.

"What took you so long?" Colden tugged his hand through his dark hair, wincing at the pain that passed through his jaw with every word he spoke. Lily had him good. He knew because he had taught her that move himself.

"Alice," Belle regained her breath, her eyes trained on the bruises that appeared on his skin, "couldn't just leave her without an explanation."

Colden narrowed his eyes the movement she cast her gaze away. He suspected that they hadn't gotten off to that great of a style and it seemed weird to him how much more comfortable Alice has become. Her words still rung through his mind day and night- "I'm sorry."

Perhaps it was the constant overthinking that actually helped him refrain himself from seeking her out. Yet the question was still there- did she have a larger motive or did she mean what she said?
