It's raining. How fun, I don't even have an umbrella. Sigh. Days like this I really wish I had a car. I really rather not be wet and late for my first day of work. I'm just glad Autumn talked her boss into hiring me. It's so gloomy out. I still bet today will be a good day. I'm glad I get to work with my best friend. We've known each other since jr year in high school.  So it won't be that bad. I sit at a desk plug in numbers, get paid for it, and get to work with Autumn. It's basically heaven.

Skrrrt!

"Miss? Are you okay?" I hear a voice calling out to me. I open my eyes to see an unfamiliar face. A man, older than me. He has fair skin. Dark circles and dead green eyes. Black parted hair and he's wearing a suit. I look around me. It's still raining but I seem to be half way in his lap. I slowly sit up and hold my head. "Ow. What happened?" I look at the crouched down man. "You weren't paying attention and had gotten hit by a car, I then carried you over here." oh. He must've helped me. How come I don't have any visible wounds?
I don't even remember anything. I remember crossing the road and that's it. "Thank you, uh what's your name?" "Luciel Darville." What an odd name. "I'm Emma Kalebs. You weren't hurt were you Mr.Darvell?" He shook his head. "No, are you hurt?" I look at my hands and my knees. Other than my pantyhose being ripped and my heels a little scuffed I seem to be fine. "My head hurts a little bit but I seem to be okay." He stands up and helps me up. His hands were really cold.  "Oh shit I think I'm going to be late for work." He nodded. "Till we meet again." He lets go of my hand and walks away. What a mysterious man. I continue to walk to work. I clock in and sit down at my desk. I sigh and put my head down.

"You look like hell." Autumn rolled her chair to say to me. I look up to meet her amber eyes. Her long curly ginger hair was up in a messy high bun. She was wearing a green turtle neck and a long black pencil skirt with white heels. "Thanks." I spoke. "What happened you look like you got hit by a train." I chuckled and stretched then sat up straight. "Well sorta. I got hit by a car on the way over here." "Woah! What!? And you still came into work? Are you even human?" She joked. "Yeah right? It's kinda weird that I walked away  with only a headache. This guy seemed to have carried me over to the sidewalk though." "Ouuu? A guy? Did you get his number? What did he look like? Spill the t e a ." I rolled my eyes. "No I didn't get his number. He looked kinda monotone but he was still pretty attractive honestly. His voice was deep too." I see Autumn writing up scenarios to put us in now. Autumn is a writer so when ever I mention any scenario that's more than ordinary she mentally writes it down.  "How old was he? Did you catch his name?" I turn back to my desk and log in. "I'm not sure how old he was. Older than us by like 6 years maybe? So like 30." I begin to set up my work and pull up the needed software. "He said his name was Luciel Darville." "Oh how peculiar." "Only do you use words like that in a regular sentence." She chuckled and rolled back over to her desk but leaned through the isle. "Hey on break why don't we get coffee and talk about this Luciel Darville." I roll my eyes. "Sure but I don't have anything else to say really." With that we began our work and worked until our break.

We clock out for our break and start walking to the coffee shop. It's still pretty dismal out but it's not raining hard like before. It's barely at all. Thankfully we don't get wet at all thanks to the overhead of the strip. We enter the shop. Instantly we're greeted with the sweet aroma of coffee and sweets. We get in line. "Thank you sir is that for here or to go?" "To go please." "alrighty here you are sir." "Thank you." I hear a familiar voice. It's Luciel. "Hey Autumn." I whisper and point. "That's him. The man who helped me out." He began to walk out but he came up to us. "Oh hello Miss Kalebs. I hope you're doing well?" I smile and nod. "Yes I'm doing just fine. You can call me Emma by the way. This is my friend Autumn." Autumn said hello and waved. "Hello Miss Autumn." "Do you work near here?" He pointed out the shop window. "Yes, I work over there." He points to a large building a little down the way. "Oh wow. Autumn and I work over there and around the corner." I point. "How lovely. I'm guessing I'll see you two here more often then." Autumn nods. "Yup, so get used to seeing these faces." He slightly chuckled and smiled. "Well alright ladies. I best be heading back now." "Goodbye Mr.Darvell." "Yup! See ya Mr.Darvell." We waved to him goodbye as he departed. We we're soon at the counter and ordered. After getting our coffees and sandwiches we sat down.
