Alison
My watch beeped signalling that it's 5 pm and I need to start on my homework. We'll start with math, it's the easiest, and makes the most sense. Call me crazy, but math is my favourite. I open my books and get to work. 40 minutes later I hear a soft knock on my bedroom door.
"Come in!"
"Hey sweetheart, just checking in. How's the homework coming?"
"Pretty good, I finished math about 10 minutes ago and now I'm working on English."
"Oh honey, you need a boyfriend, it's only quarter to 6, you should be out, having fun! I mean don't get me wrong, I love that I don't have to worry about my daughter having sex behind my back and getting drunk and pregnant, but this isn't normal."
"MOOOMMM!! Seriously? You want me to go out and party like Lindsay Jenco?"
"Well I'm your mother so I shouldn't tell you to do things like that but, it wouldn't hurt you to live a little, I mean does your homework really have to be done before 7 pm? You don't go to bed until 11, which by the way, is also not normal."
"You're such a weird mom, I love you"
"I love you too"
