It All Started With A Dare

"I can't believe he said that!!"
Jenna screamed. I told her everything as soon as we got into her car at the end of the day.
"So we're going to Aria's diner tomorrow night."
"I can't believe my best friend is going out with the schools baddest badass in the school!"

Its Friday night after school, and Jenna is curling my hair and my 21 year old sister Ashley is doing my makeup, she's going to school to study cosmetics. My phone started ringing and I picked it up to see who its from. James is written across the screen and I shush everyone before I answer him.
"Hey sweetheart, are you almost ready? Our reservation is for 7."
"Yup I'll be ready for 6:15."
"Okay see you soon beautiful."
I pressed end call before setting my phone down to let the girls continue. A few seconds later Jenna's 15 year old sister Bernadette came into my room with a couple of outfits I could wear, both were dresses.
"I'm NOT wearing either of those."
I spat when I saw my options.
"Come on, pphhhhllllleeeeeaaaaasssseeee Alison."
Everybody said at once.
"Okay, okay fine, I'll wear the black one."
The girls finished getting me ready. As soon as they were done I got changed into the dress. It was a black off the shoulder with cute little pink and red flowers all over it. It came just past my knees. I did a little twirl in the mirror before walking out. The girls had found a pair of small black boots with a slight heel for me to wear. I put them on and grabbed my clutch and my phone. I checked the time on my phone. The clock read 6:10. James should be here any minute now.
"You look so gorgeous. James is one lucky guy."
Jenna said.
"You all know this is just one date, right? Nothings going to happen."
"Don't speak to soon hon."
Ashley stated.
I heard the doorbell ring and the girls all ran to get it. They made a wall in front of me and James and started to threaten him. I pushed through and stood in front of them.
"I'll be home before midnight, okay?"
I looked at James and he nodded his head to agree.
"We'll be waiting."
I turned around and James led me to his car. He opened the passenger door for me before going around the front of the car to the drivers side. He started the engine and the country radio station was on, which surprised me quite a bit. Mr. Badass liked country music of all things. He started humming along to stomping ground by Tim Hicks. We drove in silence for a while but it wasn't an awkward silence, it was actually pretty comfortable. He reached over with his right hand to grab my left. He held it like that until we got to the diner. Everything so far actually felt right for some reason.
We then walked into the diner and got sat at our table that James reserved. I ordered a small salad as I was more nervous then hungry. James ordered a burger with an extra large fry.
We didn't really know what to say so he started asking really basic questions.
"What's your favourite colour?"
He asked, a huge grin plastered on his face.
"Purple," I said bluntly "What's yours?"
"Dark green."
"Favourite animal?"
"I love horses and really want to get one someday."
"I never woulda pinned you as a horse girl."
"What's your favourite kind of pizza?"
"Hawaiian."
I took one of his fries and shoved it into my mouth. He grinned even more which I didn't think was possible. We asked more questions for about an hour and a half.
"What do you want to do now?" I asked, the curiosity building up inside me.
"Wouldn't you like to know princess." He paid the bill against my many protests and we left. Once in the car he handed my his phone and said I could play anything I want. I clicked on lonely drum by Aaron Goodvin and leaned back into the seat. It was dark so I smiled hoping James wouldn't see. He put his hand on my thigh and looked at me briefly, asking permission. I nodded and put my head back. I listened to the music and quickly fell asleep.
"Hey beautiful, we're here."

Hey beauties, sorry if this story is progressing too quickly. I'm excited. I'm loving my characters so far and if you know me you would know I don't love anything I do.
