My Little Eren

Chapter 6: A Glass of Water

WARNING this chapter may or may not give you feels however I suggest you have a box of tissues beside you and as always, enjoy. ❤️

Scooping the little one in his arms, Levi turned his glaze to his high school best friends. "Well then shall we go?" Asking formally with a plain expression glued upon his face.

"Yes we shall." Hanji shot a smile, carrying the blonde child in her arms.

Levi walked off without waiting for the two shit heads to tag along with their child.

"What flavour ice cream would you like Eren?"

"Chacawlate" (chocolate) Eren replied cutely.

A young girl, slightly smaller than Levi, with her Brown hair all tight up by pink hair band, asked "Hello sir what can I get you?"

"One small chocolate and a medium size scoop of decaf coffee. If you don't have decaf coffee then I will take the banana toffee but make sure there isn't any banana bits contained within the scoop. Both in cones." Coldly yet strictly Levi spoke giving a glare to the young girl.

Needing a few seconds for the girl to digest the information, she gave a nod with smile. "Yes sir."

"Le~vi!" Hanji called out running behind him with Erwin and their son. "For someone small you move fast."

"Tsk. What do you want?" Not looking behind.

A pout was formed upon the Brunette's lips, "no need to be a meanie Levi."

"Meanie my ass." was the words that slipped out of Levi's mouth before having to hear Eren shouting out, "Ass. MEANIE MY ASS." Giggling softly as he spoke.

Hanji and Erwin tagged along with Eren's laughter as Levi's eyes widen at the boy. "Eren don't repeat after me, that's not very nice to say."

A pout was placed on the younger boy's lips, "but daddy said it."

"I know I did but that's because I'm older." And with that he paid the ice creams, giving a cone to his son as he walked off without another word.

"Levi!!!?!? Where are you going?" Hanji called out, "somewhere." Levi replied back and speed walking out of the park.

"Daddy whera ere weeee goien?" [ daddy where are we going?] Eren asked having his mouth stuffed with chocolate.

"Don't speak while you eat and we are going back to the house."

"Oh." Eren rubbed his hands across his mouth to keep the chocolate off but ended up spreading it across his face.

"Tsk. You are a mess with all that chocolate on your face." Levi stated, receiving laughter from the boy as Levi clean the boy's face with his handkerchief.

A smile spread upon the male's face at the beautiful site of his son happiness but that only lasted for second, having to pass the hospital where Levi's husband, Eren flew to heaven.

A lump was made in his throat as he remembered that fatal day.

The event was so clear that it seemed as if Eren's death happened yesterday.

~FLASHBACK~

Holding the cold, pale hand in his hands, Levi looked up at his husband, caressing the male's cheek with his thumb.

"Levi?" Eren blurted out.

"Yes Eren?" Levi looked up at the boy's face.

"I love you."

"I love you too."

A couple of hours later, Levi headed out of the room to fetch Eren a drink that Eren requested, but little did Levi know was that Eren knew from the very start, when he said 'I love you,' he was going to die. So he asked Levi to walk out of the room get him something as he didn't want Levi to face the pain of watching Eren passing away.

Just as Levi leave, Eren sat up using all the last remaining strength he had to peck the male's lips. "I love you."

"I love you too Eren. Now now, stay right there, I'll be back with that cold glass of water for you." Levi stated with a small smile.

Levi came back to find that Eren's room was packed with nurses and doctors.

"What's going on?! What's happening to Eren?" He yelled, shoving his way through the doctors to find Eren 'asleep' with a smile.

The noises came to a halt, everything was silent till that very point.

Tiny drops of water slid down his cheeks, "Eren....?"

Levi fell to his knees by the side of the bed and prayed. Even though he didn't believe in God, Levi still tried. He even started to pinch his own flesh to make sure that this wasn't a dream.

"Eren...."

"EREN...."

"EREN DONT LEAVE ME BY MYSELF IN THIS WORLD..... I don't want to be alone."

~ END OF FLASHBACK ~

"Daddy why are you crying?" Little Eren asked as he looked up at the male, touching the older man's cheeks.

"allergies" levi lied not wanting to show his son weakness.

"What's allwerage?" [ allergies ]

"Don't worry about that brat, we better get going. It's almost time for lunch."

And with that, Levi guided the boy back home for lunch.
