Locket

This is based off an Instagram story I read.
When I was younger I remember riding around on my bike and falling into a bush. I found a heart locket with a picture of a little boy in it. I decided to keep it and hoped that one day I would meet that boy even though I had no idea what his name was and how old he was now. For the past 15 years I've never taken off the locket and even though I'm married to my husband Colby with a baby on the way I still hope I'll meet him.

"Honey, why do you always wear that necklace?" Colby asked. I hesitated for a minute but proceeded to tell him that I found it when I was younger and opened the locket for the first time in years to reveal a picture of a young boy with brown hair and blue eyes coated in a light layer of dust. Colby stares at the picture for a minute and confessed "I lost that locket when I was 7."

This made me realise that it was no coincidence that I felt the urge to keep it. I was finally satisfied that I had met and fallen in love with the mystery boy, Colby Brock.
