I watch Adrian as he sleeps, his thick eyelashes brush his cheek and his lips are parted slightly, vulnerable. This is the first time I think of him as cute, sure the phrase hot as hell has run through my mind once or twice, twenty six times, but now I look at him, he's fricking adorable.
The sunlight filtering through the waterfall, muting the pale light, warms my bare limbs. I sit up, allowing Adrian to hug my leg when he murmurs in protest. I tilt my head to the sun letting the light soak into my skin. When I glance back down, Adrian is staring at me with glazed over eyes.
You are the sexiest thing I have ever seen. He growls in my mind.
You just woke up? And you want desert? I reply incredulous as he rolls onto his knees his green eyes dark, wanting. He leans forward, our lips press together and his tongue traces the outline of them before slipping through, coaxing small moans from me.
YES. MINE. He all but demands.
I draw back, deciding to show him he can't always get what he wants so easily. I lightly grip between his legs, his breathing hitches and deepens and he arches his hips up to meet my hand. I draw away completely, folding my arms and smiling seductively.
Say sorry for trying to control me. I think smugly as his eyes narrow and his mouth gapes open.
What? NO. What are yo- He cuts his thoughts off as I trail a finger up his thy, then I pull my hand back. I'm sorry, I'm sorry. Please I need you. Now. Oh God, just let me ....... I just need ......... You. Even his thoughts were desperate. I laugh so hard it hurts, but finally relent at the pleading in his voice.

We plunge through the undergrowth, paws thudding against the ground, I yip excitedly as I leap ahead. Adrian gives a grunt of surprise, flinging clumps of dirt up as he struggles to catch up to me. We dart out of the trees skidding to a halt in front of the huge doors to the pack house.
I told you I would win! My tail is wagging furiously and I can't make it stop. Adrian phases, placing his hands on either side of my head, his green eyes full of pride.
"You are amazing." He whispers huskily, his hands stroking my ears.
Is it weird that I like this, I ask, and that I can't stop wagging my tail?
He chuckles warmly, I close my eyes picturing myself in the eye of my mind, blonde hair, brown eyes, with clothes on. I learnt the hard way that if you don't remember what clothes you have on before you phase, well let's just say you'll have a cold walk back. I rise onto two feet and shiver, it was much warmer in my wolf skin.
Adrian takes my hand, pulling me through the large, wooden, double doors and leading me through a hall filled with tables. Only a few people sit at the tables, their eyes trail us curiously.
"Umm, do they know that I'm, well, your mate?" I whisper nervously. Leaning into his side. He looks down at me, a reassuring smile curving his lips.
"Of course they do. Even if they didn't they would instinctively know you were Alpha. Even I can feel your power." He says smugly, probably fantasising about me bossing people around.
You know it babe. He winks and I roll my eyes. We pass through the hall and into an impossibly long hallway, lined with doors on either side. He tugs me up a staircase to our right and into another hallway with less doors but more paintings, I wander up to a painting of a guy with long jet black hair and dangerous black eyes. The adjacent painting is of a massive storm grey wolf with the same black eyes.
" He is the first Alpha of this pack, Evernight son of Aurora mate of Star Claw. That's his mate Ebony, all of the Alpha's mates after her have the formal title Ebony. You do as well," I couldn't miss the possessive tone to his voice, "other packs have different names." I stare at the beautiful woman beside Evernight, She had silky black hair and ice blue eyes.
"Does that mean you have a picture up here somewhere? Does that mean I have to get my picture done? I'm warning you now I can't sit still." He chuckles at my outburst pulling me to a door with his painting beside it.
"This is the Alpha level, my parents are to the left, my sister's on the other side." Before I can investigate he tugs me into the room we are facing, running his hands through his hair nervously.
"This is our room." He glances at me. I stare at the space before me. Its Huge, like the size of my house and Will's put together. There are even stairs leading up into another level. One half of the walls are made of thick glass, a whole lounge suite arrayed in front of it, there are broad archways with no doors leading off into other rooms, I can see the corner of what has to be a humongous bed peeking through one of the arches.
"Is that a library!?!" I squeal, dashing up the stairs, I can smell books and leather. He laughs as I skid to a halt, gazing in awe at the shelves of books packed in here. Edging the walls are soft leather couches and stout wooden tables, even a few window seats are spread among the furniture. Sky lights and large windows let a golden light warm the place, creating an aura of safety. Adrian rests his chin on my head curling his long arms around me.
" So you like it?" He asks, "I thought you might want something more modern, seeing as you came from a place with electricity." I glance around, noticing the candles and lamps spaced throughout the room.
I love it. I will miss my iPod though. I think wistfully.
"My Beta is taking care of that, he's moving your stuff through the rift right now," He says confidently, "you can charge your iPod at HQ in the human world." I feel a sly smile crawl over my face, Adrian needs to be taken down a notch.
" So your okay with some random guy going through my panties?" I ask innocently, "I'm glad you trust your Beta so much." I hide a smirk as his face goes white, then red. Then blank. "Um Adrian? What are you doing?" Jeez I hope I didn't give the guy an aneurism.
" Mind linking Sebastian." He growls furiously. I can't hold in my laughter anymore. I double over my sides heaving, my laughter bouncing off the walls.
"Omg your face!!" I wheeze as it darkens further. Suddenly a pair of big hands grabs my waist lifting me. I squeak in surprise as he carries over to a seat and lays me on his lap.
"I'm going to have to punish you now," he growls playfully, "such a shame, you have such a cute ass." He sighs raising his hand. I squirm away from him tearing down the stairs and out the door, you wanna play games pretty boy? let's play hide and seek. I think at him, his deep chuckle echoing in my mind.
