don't hide behind a mask,
it will not be an easy task
but that's not who you are,
you're a star, a shining star
don't pretend to smile,
because you've just travelled a mile,
there's a long way to go
so do what you want to do
don't pretend as if you're fine,
you're a star and one day you will shine
you're much more than a flaw,
and one day you'll be in awe
you'll see happiness
along with a touch of sadness
because this world isn't fair
but it does listen to your prayers
hold onto hope,
as it will teach you how to cope
one day, you'll feel content
and will understand what your troubles meant
that day will come,
that day is coming.
