RED'S POV

I woke up I front of my NES. It was still on, playing the Super Mario tune. "Red, where are you? Professor Oak was looking for you."

I sped into the hall, accidentally taking my bedroom door off of its hinges. I ended up tripping down the stairs and landed on my face. I quickly got up. My nose was probably broken. the pain was too horrible, but I continued out the door and sped down Siense Road. Professor Oak's lab was on Siense Road.

I arrived at the door, running inside. All I saw was my friend, Blue (sometimes I make fun of him and call him Green). Blue was wearing a blue sweat jacket(unzipped) with a white and green striped shirt beneath it. His sandy blonde spiked hair flew from the
fans blowing in the room. "BLUE!" I screamed on accident. "Oh, hey Red! Gramps isn't here right now. I think he went into the city." Quickly turning back, I began towards Viridian City. Route 1 was short, so I wasn't worried. I was at the gates of Pallet Town. I ran out the gates. "RED, WAIT! DONT GO OUT" That surprised me so much, I ended up tripping on my own feet.

Oak brought me back to his lab. In his desk were 3 Pokeballs. Each one had a little label on it: Flame, Raindrop, and Leaf! "You may pick one" said Professor Oak. Blue chimed in. "I don't need to be greedy like you Red. You pick first" Normally I would be mad, but I couldn't turn this down. I immediately picked up the pokeball with the flame on it and threw it up at the ceiling.

The ball landed at the ground. it exploded with red flames. a small salamander-like creature with a flame burning at the tip of its tail. I thought the Pokemon was going to die! I ran to a sink and filled a cup with water and poured it on its tail. The flame went out! The pokemon made a small cry like it was saying "Why did you do this to me?" and fell to the ground. It didn't move. I picked it up and beat it a few times hoping it would wake up. but it didn't move. It wasn't breathing. It didn't have a pulse. Did I kill it? I tried to light a flame on its tail. It began to burn! Then the flame engulfed its body and it turned to ashes.

I picked up the ashes and put them into a thermos. I walked outside as I tightened the lid. it had died. I had flipped open the pokedex I got for my 15th birthday and aimed it at the thermos. "You son of a bitch! You killed it. You better bury it and turn yourself in." I shoved the pokedex back in my pocket. "Gee, thanks for the advice."

After that, Professor Oak offered me another pokemon. "This one is the same pokemon you just killed. Please don't kill this one as it is he last male ever!"

I threw the pokeball. Once again, it exploded and flew back to me. The pokemon popped out. "Charmander! it said happily! He jumped into my arms. I hugged it and squeezed it. He stuck his tongue out and licked me in happiness. Charmander was happy, So I was happy!

"Is it my turn yet?" Blue asked. Oak nodded and Blue picked up the pokeball with the rain drop on it. When he threw it, it exploded with mist. "Squirtle!" it said. Charmander screamed! Charmander pressed the button in the pokeball and jumped into it.

Just as I was about to leave, Blue said,"Hey Red! How about a battle?" "No thank you. I need to go home for some things that I need at school tomorrow." I think he bought that.

I ran home and upstairs to my room. I quickly turned on my computer and opened Smeargle Search for the internet. I could finally relax now after that drama.
